A craft version of the classic, Pub ale transports you directly to a bar stool in a classic English Pub. This beer is light bodied, supremely well balanced and full of malt flavor. Mild hop bitterness blends with the biscuit malts to give this old world style a new, fresh perspective. Pairs perfectly with bangers and mash, fish and chips and long conversations with friends.

From a can poured into a pint glass.
I suppose ESB beers aren’t very popular, and tend to get low ratings and little attention. I really like them though.
This ESB is an Amber/tea color with a decent 1-1/2 finger beige head, and nice splotchy lacing.
The caramelized malt flavor is delicious, complimented by some very enjoyable hops bitterness. Notes of caramel, black tea, a little earthiness. The finish is enjoyable with a faint lingering caramel bitterness.
A solid Extra Special Bitter.

12oz can into a tall glass. Canned 5/26/25, so closing in on 3 months old.
Good looking ESB. Nice amber body, off white head retains well, scattered lacing. Mild aroma, a little earthy. On tasting, bitter, a little spiced, strong malt base. Finish is lastingly earthy and bitter, becomes off putting after a while.
Overall, starts out good, but goes a bit downhill.

Whatever happened with the hops here was bad. Can date said it was less than three weeks old.
Very bitter in a bad way. Earthy and vegetative. Somewhere in the neighborhood of Lima beans or black eyed peas.
I do not know if this is what the brewer intended but it was not for me. My disappointment is immeasurable.
