From a 750 ml thick bottle, this brew is a clear deep caramel colored liquid. The head is slim and white. Bright aroma...peppery spice and a little light spritz funk. The taste has a little fruity and estery flavors. Rye dryness comes out in the taste....especially the mid-taste. Tongue-drying. The finish is medium full in body. Flavorful and enjoyable.

Amber hued with a fingernail of beige covering the vast majority of the top. Delicate aroma of earthy saison yeast is prevalent along with amber malt. I'm tasting sweet Belgian yeast and amber malt. The mouth is very dry, crisp, and moderately carbonated. The yeast flavor and aroma is very aggressive!

22oz bottle. No apparent dating on bottle. Appearance: Light brown/amber, mostly clear, with a low lying off white head that dissappears quickly with no lacing. Aroma: Belgian fruity yeast esters dominate. Strong on spiced banana and pear. Malt not really perceptible. Taste: Rich malt sweetness that quickly goes fruity, with some banana, pear, and spiced apple. Medium toast and rye malt show up on the backside, with a light to moderate bitterness Mouthfeel: Medium bodied with a light to moderate carbonation. A touch of alcohol heat Finish: Some dryness and light bitterness on the finish, with a retronasal burst of fruity pear. Overall: Interesting and nicely done take on a dark farmhouse. Fruity yeast character dominates, with some spice and toasted eye maltiness that all contrasts each other in a pleasant fashion. Heavier bodied and lacks the dry, peppery character of traditional saison, but still a good beer

O- Decent beer but a bit spicey for my liking.

Poured a hazy, reddish orange color with a small, khaki-colored head of foam. It smelled of pepper, lemon and yeastiness. Nice wheat, rye and pepper flavors. A hint of sweetness in the back.
