Tap at brewery.
Pours cloudy amber orange. Yellowish head retains as a sudsy lacing.
Smells of apple cider vinegar, sourdough bread, wine grapes, oak and lactic acid.
Very tart up front, citrus and lactic acid. Apple cider and white wine follow. Sourdough bread malts. Oak and a sting of spice.
Medium body with tingly carbonation on the tongue.
Very bright and tart, tasty, wine-like. Very worth trying. The addition of oak aging is pretty subtle, so if you miss this one, the regular La Pienture presents nearly the same experience. But if you catch this before it's gone, try it.
