Gold to amber color. Clear. Good starting head but it settles quickly. Nice lattice for lace after the initial ring.
Sweet, raw barley grain aroma -- attractive, it reminds me of preparing a wort for boil. A bit woody with a weak black tea background. In a word: interesting.
More dry than the smell. Highly carbonated with a neutral body. The flavor draws out even more black tea on the tongue. The hop is ever present but not dominating. Short but balanced aftertaste.

Can poured into a becher pint glass, the appearance was a semi-muddled dark orange to amber color with a finger and a half's worth of white foamy head that slid off at a moderate pace. Some lace stuck but gently slid off pretty slow.
The aroma captured a nice grapefruity hoppiness that coincided pretty nice with some light biscuity malts. Mild floral hop even further in the background.
The flavor was mildly sweet with a gentle blend of the bitterness of the hops to stifle the malt embrace. Nice aftertaste of the grapefruity hops, barely any malts.
The mouthfeel was about medium bodied with a fair sessionability about it. Carbonation felt good, maybe a tickle under. ABV felt as projected.
Overall, as an amber/red ale, it works and I'd be willing to come back to.

A: More of a murky burnt orange than red, with some lighter orange tones and hints of brown - hazy - pours with a small, off-white head, fades to just a few wisps but leaves some nice lacing
S: Citrus, with some orange and tangerine flesh, floral grapefruit - some herbal notes - very earthy - not as malty as I would have expected, amber malts seem oddly absent - pale and caramel grains - toasted bread and some biscuit, low sweetness
T: Citrus flesh with some flesh - orange and grapefruit, floral citrus, zest - hoppy, yes, but not as hoppy as something labeled as a "hoppy" red ale - some herbal hops - pronounced earthy character - medium to low bitterness - grainy malt base, with some pale and toasted caramel grains - some light bread, toast, biscuit - finish could be cleaner
M: Medium body, oddly low carbonation, smooth
O: Unlike Ruby Tuesday, possibly worth revisiting

I'm a fan of the fruity IPA type beers and this is a tastey fruity beer. Poured from a can into a pint glass, very muddy dark color. It looks like apple cider with a nice, white foamy, creamy head. Minimal carbonization. Nice grapefruit taste and I believe a fairly mild hoppiness. It smells great and tastes pretty darn good.

BA says retired, but I just picked up a growler at Fiddlehead yesterday...? Poured into Belgian ale glass.
L: 3F+ head with good retention, lots of sticky lacing and a ring. Beer is a deep golden amber.
S: Grapefruit as name indicates, but sweeter than the usual. Mangoes, pineapple, other tropical fruits. A little pine. Very nice.
T: More grapefruit than anything, but not particularly bitter. Tropical fruits in nose not really present.
F: Not too complex, but balance good. Light to medium body, light to medium carbonation, crisp and refreshing. Quite drinkable.
O: Very solid throw-in with a case of Second Fiddle. Happy I got to try it.

On tap at Worthy Kitchen. Served in a snifter.
Appearance - Deep hazy copper body. Nice off white head. Settles to a chunky surface. Lots of lacing.
Smell - Grapefruit hop. Lots of caramel malt. Something a little off on the nose. Mild funk.
Taste - Grapefruit hop and caramel malt in equal proportions. Some resiny hop flavors overtake the malts. Bitter in the finish.
Mouthfeel - Medium bodied. A little creamy.
Overall - The off smell doesn't come out in the flavor. Pretty good beyond that misstep.

Pours a very lovely mahogany, super clear and clean looking. Very thin off white head. Super lacing despite the thin head.
Aroma is of heavy hops. Piney and a hint of lemon. Not really any malt aromas at all.
Taste is bold and zingy fresh hops. Grassy, a bit of pine and resin. Sticky hops balanced out by a caramel and bready malt backbone. The finish is super clean bottled water with fresh lime zest and zippy hop bitterness.
Mouthfeel is lighter side of medium, bitterness doesn't linger. Easy drinking.
Hoppier than I anticipated. Probably the cleanest profile I've tasted in a while. Very nice.

Samples this pilot batch on tap at the brewery today along with the flagship IPA. Very nice shop/growler fill spot.
A-nice mahogany color with a solid cream covered held that had spotty lacing.
S-grapefruit bombs the nose along with solid pine and malt
T-very crisp with grapefruit leading off and a bit of apricot and a bit of roast. Not very sweet
M-makes the mouth water with each sip, very solid malt backbone crisp with just ahi t of creaminess.
O-this hit the spot and would be a great regular offering. Love the Simcoe twist on an amber.
