The choice spot for some drinks before the Tubledown Festival at the waterfront in Burlington, VT. The band Twiddle has a beer brewed with one of it's lyrics "relax and dream" a wonderful pale ale Fiddlehead created for them and the fans.
There's lots to love about this open space, picnic table style beer hall area. Selection is numerous with top quality selection possibilities. The vibe overall is good but the direct service from behind the counter was blah at best, snooty and uppity at worst. But that didn't affect our time there!! Love the brews and the support of my boys Twiddle!

Stopped at end of Vermont Beer Safari. Large building ... Half Fiddlehead and half Pizzeria. FH side had large space with plenty of bar and table space. Large retail area as well. Good beer selection; beers to go. Pizza ordered by tablet and then delivered from the pizzeria. Tasty pizza to go with tasty beers. I had a prochiutto Parma pizza to go with a Second Fiddle. Yum!
Very friendly staff, and had a great time speaking with Tasting room /Events Mgr, Brad. Definitely a mire than worthwhile stop.

Small room off a pizza shop. The most I've seen on at one time in the few times I've been is 3 beers. Looking forward to expansion, but I've also been turned off by their beers recently. Hodad used to be one of my favorites, now it's a thin, barley coconuty mess

This is a review from when I visited years ago, but somehow missed putting in a review. smallish taproom, adjacent to a pizza place. they were selling swag and to-go beer, but you could try the beer and get growlers. At the time they only had 3 beers available - the flagship IPA, a Hef, and a Blonde Ale.

I am used to taprooms where you can drink so this is a bit odd. You can have free samples of their beers but your beer and swag and get out. If they do not serve food you can’t just get a pint. They were renovating their tasting room while I was there so the space was very small. They only had I think three beers to taste and 4 beers in cans to purchase. The beers were excellent though and the service was fantastic. The pizza place next door you could buy your beer and drink it there with your food. The pizza place was excellent.

Visited the brewpub in September of 2017. Small place outside of Burlington. They had 1 beer on-tap (bring a growler, or 'rent' one... which you can return for a deposit... or just keep to take home) and 3 other brews available canned. Very cool staff.... and a nice gift shop. The best part is... it's located next to an amazing pizzeria (opens right into it) where you can grab your beer and go order some amazing pies. Really cool vibe... great food... outstanding beer.. all around A++ experience. Next time I'm in Vermont I'll definitely be going back.

I dropped in for some Mastermind as it's just down the road from our Winter Softball location. Next time maybe I'll hang around a bit and have some pizza too.

This was my second visit to Fiddlehead. The first time they only had tasters in the tap room. Second time they had a mountain of Second Fiddle. Like an idiot I only bought (1) 4-pack of Second Fiddle ..... it's an awesome beer and I should have bought more. Small tap room, get in and get out. If you are in Burlington you gotta go.

A very small brewery attached to a restaurant. Never been to the restaurant. The brewery is very small but very nice. They have growler fills and cans. Kind of rustic but hey, It's Vermont. The space was very nice and well done for how modest it is. The service is great. No lines and friendly workers. I have been there twice on Vermont beer runs. I live 12 hours away so it is a labor of love to plan and implement. The first time we went there they hey had nothing available in cans - at all. Major bummer. The second time they had a small amount of Second Fiddle available so it was worth the trip. Will I go back? Maybe. As long as it is on my beer route. If I do go I will make sure that something is available so I don't kill an hour and a half for nothing.

Just along RT 7 and joined with Folino Pizza, in the same building, this absolutely wonderful brewery houses Matty O'Cohen's beers. His meticulous skills of brewing fabulous batches of beers sure wins the hearts of many as he's constantly doing his best along with his assistants to win the hearts of the locals. Though I live roughly a half an hour away, when I'm in this part of Vermont, I have no problem going in here to see what Matty is brewing up. Even on the tougher days of more people, they do a good job of keeping up with people's requests.

Since it's the only place to find the rare one-offs and seasonals, it's always worth a trip out here. Don't forget your growlers if you've got em because that's the only way to enjoy more than a few sips. There's not much else of note here, especially since the taproom is in transition and the brewery has moved to a nearby space. Service is hit or miss, depending on who's pouring. Something I find disappointing is that when cans are for sale, they're kept warm and have often changed flavor from temperature fluctuations. Cans bought from other retail spots are almost always better quality. There's a lot to be improved here but they do seem to be working on it. I'll still keep stopping by for their delicious beer though.

Stopped in here on our way to Burlington during a drive to the East Coast. A great little spot attached to a pizza place with very good pizza. Loved the unique Hodad Porter & also sampled Fiddlehead IPA which was very nice although not outstanding when compared to some of Vermont's finest which I was able to try later in the trip. Great little spot I'm hoping to be able to visit again some day.

Stopped here once while in the area. The vibe wasn't anything too special, just a small taproom with some brewing tank in the back. The service was good, very friendly. The selection was good as well.

Only able to purchase Growler or receive free samples due to state law (must sell food as well to sell pints). Therefore the space is pretty small with the room basically a large bar for tastings/fills and merchandise around the room. Great beers, friendly staff - just wish I could buy a pint a sit for a while.

There is a pizza restaurant next door, and they are BYOB only, which basically makes them the tap room to consume the Growler fills.

Cool vibe in this small place with a great bartender. The pizza next door was awesome (I really love the thin crust pies that are well done). Fresh Fiddlehead IPA on tap was amazing. Definitely one of the highlights of the trip was drinking Fiddlehead and eating pizza, for sure. Only complaint was that the brewery itself was as hot as a sauna.

Mastermind was out and a few people were walking out with cases, no line for it and only about 4 or 5 other people at the bar getting growlers. Some merch available, too.

They only had the IPA on tap and Mastermind in cans, so they get points off for selection, but both were well made so a few notches added back to the score.

Very small place with very strict rules with such low inventory it hurts. Everything is made right with the world when you get your first fresh sip of Second Fiddle. Easily one of my top 5 ever!!!

I'm a little biased, because Fiddlehead IPA is my favorite beer, but I thought the atmosphere was good as well. A little bit of a tight squeeze, but the fact that it adjoins Folino's pizza makes up for it. Delicious beer and friendly staff.

If you are doing your homework before you go to the Burlington area then Fiddlehead has to be on your hit list. HIGH on it! Been there one time and lucked out with 2nd Fiddle and it was as good as the reviews I read. Smallish area to be in but efficient and great helpful people selling beer and small tastes. I didn't go next door for food but it sure is convenient if one wanted food. I will absolutely go back on my next beer trek and hope I run into a Mastermind release.

Visited after a trip up to Montreal with my brother. Chill spot with a clean taproom. Only a few selections. Pizza place next door for food. Overall a great spot to pick up delicious, fresh beer, which is what really matters.

Came here for a release. My only gripe is that the inside itself is very tiny but other than that they are makeing some damn fine IPAs over here at Fiddlehead.

Quality brewery located on route 7 just before you hit Burlington. The tap room offers free tastings and growlers. Excellent quality beer, especially the Fiddlehead IPA. And Second Fiddle Double IPA. You can get a growler fill and take it to the pizza restaurant next door. A great place to hang.

Guess I haven't rated / reviewed Fiddlehead yet, so here we go.
Easily accessible faux-farmhouse right off Rt.7, so it's fairly secluded. The taproom is small and simple, with just a few options, between 2-4 taps the times I've gone there. Samples are free! You can't get full pours, but you can get 32 or 64oz growlers, and if you're lucky there might be cans available. Last visit I picked up a case of 2nd Fiddle with no problems and no stress of hyped-up release-day lines. There's also a wide array of merch for sale. Service is typically quick and efficient, growler fills happen fast. I'm not crazy about all FH's beers, but they're definitely worth checking out. Mastermind would be my definite favorite

There's no food here, but as stated in previous reviews, there's a pizza place directly next door, in the same building, just one glass door separating them, and it's basically a BYOB, so you can bring your growlers and/or cans and drink them there with a good variety of flatbread pizza or salad. You literally have to walk 3 strides to get there, so it's really a no-brainer.

This is an easy jaunt from Burlington, or a fairly easy day trip from Waterbury, so you might as well check them out. Grab a growler and get a bite to eat. Win-win.

Only two beers to try and nothing but growlers to take out. If I was them I would at least can some fiddlehead IPA so there is beer to go. I had no need for a growler as I was visiting from some distance. The beer is awesome.
