Poured into a becher pint glass, the appearance was a soft hazy yellow color with a finger’s worth of white foamy head that gently dissipated. Sly rugged lace. The aroma had some sharp bitter orange peel up front and then a slight lemon to grapefruit bitterness making it’s way to blend. Soft transient malts balance nicely. The flavor is fully bittersweet, locked on the blend between the malts and the hops. Very nice. Well balanced bittersweet aftertaste following through on the finish. On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fair sessionability about it. Good embracing carbonation. ABV felt appropriate. Overall, very nicely done APA, almost AIPA with the strength of the bitterness. Would definitely have again.
