Had this on the back end of the New England trip in October 2019. 1st review of this beer here on BA.
Pours a hazy yellow ipa. 1/2" white head. Real interesting aroma going on here, I have no information whatsoever on the hop bill, but given the pepper, melon and weed notes, Huell Melon, Sabro and CTZ seem to be possible culprits. Melon is easy to get out of a citrus/tropical note, so who knows, Citra is an obvious guess too.
Taste continues on. I'm fascinated by hazy beers that use the Sabro hop. They're so opposite, but they might provide a better sense of "balance" in an ipa than just dumping a bunch of crystal malt into a beer. Slick bell pepper meets a hazy flaked body and I think it works pretty well. I still get more notes of melon than tropical fruit. Looked like this was my 2nd favorite beer on tap at this brewery. Body didn't come off all wet and juicy, had a good amount of dryness for a hazy. They did a good job at pairing up some odd couples here.
