This was my favorite selection of the trip to Fiddlehead during the end of the October 2019 New England trip. Was the 4th beer consumed that day. 1st review of this beer on BA. Gimme da beer karma loot already.
Pours a dark yellow with moderate cloudiness, described as a hazy ipa, but I tend to describe light haze as "cloudy" and a thicker haze as haze ya know? Anyhoo, like many hazy ipas, this is the weak spot of the score, the appearance. The aroma was nice, truly did smack citrus upside stone fruit peach notes.
Taste was good, dropped the same notes as the aroma, easy to drink and like many double fiddlehead ipas, it hides the alcohol real well. Middle of the road bitterness instead of going for that watery feel 30 ibu level some hazies shoot for. 50ibu is where its at for this style. Its a fun drink and I wouldn't hesitate dropping some cash for a pack of cans of this, so can it up already! Thunder only happens when its rainin'!
