Visited the brewery over the weekend. Brought this 32oz growler back to the camp site and enjoyed it there. Reviewed from notes.
A- Poured into a pint glass with a brown body. A huge light tan head forms and retains nicely. Massive piles of lace all down the glass with each sip.
S- Laid back and malty aroma. Toasted nuts, caramel, sweets and roast grains come to mind. Rivals good brown ales.
T- Superbly smooth taste overall. Very balanced out but delivers a great variety of flavors. Malts give good toasty, caramel and roast notes. Nice balancing yeast bread and dark fruit notes.
MF- Very light bodied but this is supposed to be a session ale so I can't complain, it is also a mild ale so it is just appropriate. High, silky smooth carbonation. Very slight bitterness.
One of the best mild ales I have ever had. Just tastes super fresh and delivers a great deal of flavor in a lower alcohol beer. Very well done.
