Our head brewer went up to the mountains to collect spruce tips to add to the end of the boil for this specialty Saison. Expect a light farmhouse-style ale with a touch of pine in the finish which adds a pleasant dryness. Perfect for a more adventurous beer drinker of anyone who is new to the style of Saison.

Clear, light gold body; moderate carbonation; relatively thin head, lasting and soapy in texture. Faint blue spruce nose. Weak taste overall; some spruce notes but not much else; mild phenol element. Light to medium mouthfeel, watery; flat and smooth.
This probably should have been tasted within a week or so of canning. If it's still available at the brewery, I need to try it there. This sample is just bland overall, with little farmhouse character to it. At least the vaunted spruce tip additive comes through a bit.
Poured at 43 °F; crowler canning data: 11/1/21
