Misc.: Someone else bought the beer for me
Poured dark copper color with 1-to-2 fingers of off white head. Good lacing along the sides. Great retention on the top all the way down.
Smelled gingerbread, molasses, wintry spices, all heavy and flavorful.
Tasted potent flavors, everything from gingerbread, molasses, cinnamon and other wintry spices. Very good.
Medium body. Creamy texture. Average carbonation. Long finish.
Just a really good pumpkin beer, definitely the best I’ve ever had.

Enjoyed at the brewery on tap in a pint glass. Pours a nice orangeish brown. Nose has lots of pumpkin pie spices and a bit of pumpkin as well as sweet malts. Similar flavor profile. As with most pumpkin beers I try, has way too much spice and not enough pumpkin. Bring out the pumpkin!!!

"Over 150 pounds of pumpkin are added to each batch creating a beer with a sunset orange-amber hue, pumpkin aroma and a slightly spicy finish from our blend of spices that includes vanilla, cinnamon, allspice and nutmeg."

L: Rich, coppery red-orange with no head. Lots of carbonation.
S: Pumpkin up front with lots of spices in the middle and a sweet back.
T: Gets off to a crisp frosted pumpkin start with a good spice profile. Finish goes on and on, but there's something missing there.
F: Consistant, but a tad on the watery side. Nearer in taste and smell to pumpking, nearer in feel to Punk'n.
D: A very drinkable and enjoyable pumpkin ale in a bad year for pumpkins.
