a nice crisp ipa, easy drinking for summer time. pours a clear shade just darker than golden, perhaps more like brass, with an inch of white head on top with impressive retention. the nose is fruity hops, some peaches and pears abound, but there is also the sharp lemony citrus bitterness I like in an ipa. the malt is very light, allowing the hops to really take center stage aromatically and in the taste. the fruit isn't sweet at all, but almost floral, very appropriate for this time of year. the finish is bitter and clean, full mouth experience. not sure which hop varieties are in this ipa, but its complexity and delicacy are both lovely. good carbonation, maybe a little light on body for the style, but it lends itself to sessioning, and I don't mind it here. overall a solid ipa from phantom canyon, probably one of their better regular lineup brews. I have no complaints, especially for $2.75 a pint during happy hour!

This IPA is certainly nothing spectacular, however it is definitely one of the more drinkable IPA's. A very light amber color, this beer has a half-inch head with minimal lacing down the glass. Less bitter than your typical IPA, also far less of a fruit taste, but still easily drinkable. Not my favorite beer, but certainly not something I would turn down.

This is the same beer as their Phantom IPA. The only difference is the Phantom IPA is served on cask and this is served on CO2. Both very similar beers, but it is nice to compare the two serving vessels. The cask version is much creamier and easier to drink. This version however does a better job of bringing out the hop profile in the beer. The body seems thin and over carbonated compared to the cask version.

Pours a clear golden/copper color with a thick white head, nice retention, and spotty lace.

The aroma is of orange peel, grapefruit, and caaramel and toast.

Simple flavors of toast, caramel sweet in the middle, with a nice citrus finish of orange and grapefruit.

Nice balance, mild middle, and hoppy, dry finish.

Overall easy to drink and enjoyable.

First had: at their brewpub

A fine, average IPA. Poured golden yellow with orange tints, and a moderate white head. Aroma of grains, pale malts, crisp hops, typical stuff. Bready pale malts in the taste, balanced decently with citrusy hops. A somewhat bitter aftertaste left in the mouth. Light medium body, and fairly drinkable. Nothing new, but still okay.
