New release. A cherry wood smoked porter. Listed style as a smoked beer rather than porter since I felt the smoke supplanted the porter quality in this.
A: Pours black with thin (1/4") tan head which fades to the rim leaving spots of lace.
N: Lots of roast, wood and charred malts. Mellow and not overpowering at all.
T: Wonderful balance and layering of flavors. Nothing dominates and instead supports and compliments each other. Well done.
M: Semi-full body and light carbonation. Smoked and roasted malty finish.
O: This one draws you back again and again. Something about the cherry wood is alluring.
