Nice to be able to visit Smog City and Monkish so close together.

This place impressed me beer wise. That Bourbon OE is something else. Awesome. Their IPAs were pretty damn good too. All the beers were actually.

A flight was reasonably priced too.

The space is airy as is expected from a massive warehouse and there's a mellow vibe.

Another great stop in LA.

Smog City is in an industrial area of Torrance, there is a small shared parking lot, as well as ample parking on the street. The tasting room wraps around the brewing operations. There's always a healthy array of selections and service is pretty chill and fast. While there is usually fair number of people, the vibe is pretty mellow and fun.

Not the most roomy brewery, but I'm sure that'll change eventually. Because they brew such a wide range of styles, finding a beer you like won't be a problem. Chip Shot is pretty much the best thing ever.

Really enjoy this place. Just down the road from where I work, so it's become a ritual to stop in here once a month as a rotation between Monkish, Strand and the other awesome local breweries. I love the vibe of this place, with its taco truck directly outside and the free pretzels, it makes you feel at home with a good sudsy snack. The beertenders are great, (despite one pompous redhead), and they all are very friendly - even the pompous one. Their growler fills are decent, but they only seem to have the same four beers available (maybe I am here too often?), and I wish they'd offer more options. Quite a large selection on tap, nuff said. I do love their limited bottle releases and am always excited to see what they have available on new beer Thursdays. Finally, as a matter of a small thing, they love dogs, so I don't have to tie mine up outside, which makes for a better overall experience.

I have been there a few times and I think it is very relaxing environment. I haven't had any issues but the fact that they always run out the beers I want to try, is the only issue for me.

Place is really cool. Bartenders are nice and super cool with clients. Beer is amazing, they do not release bad beer in my experience ever. Everything from their sessionable coffee porter to their BA beers are worls class.

Didn't stay. stood in a grossly long line and decided to leave after ten minutes. Reminded me of the lines at Disney Land. Go ta little rowdy in the parking lot between rude Hockey fans who were unable to be civilized. I understand they have great brews, I will try again early before the crowds start showing up and become too belligerent.

Very small space. The brewery is quickly outgrowing what is available. Either will need to reallocate a bit of space or it will suffer from overcrowding issues. Great selection of beers. No food is offered. Decently priced, much cheaper than you can order elsewhere. The nitro taps often include styles you would not expect to be nitro. Service is great, but since it can be busy can take a while to get to you. Not many places to sit, and just as few ledges to place your beer so you don't have to hold it. Tasting room is basically the same room everything is brewed in.

Smog City Brewing is one of my favorite local breweries to visit. The taproom / brewery is home to a group of humble, happy and knowledgable beer enthusiasts ready to steer you into a beverage you can't wait to take another gulp of. If you're in the area, make sure you pay this place a visit. Great people, beer and atmosphere. Cheers.

Smog City is located in an industrial area right behind the Toyota complex in Torrance. Also, very close to Monkish and The Dude's. They have plenty of parking on both side of their building.

Once you enter you have the taps on the left with tables and seats around. It's a nice environment to hang out with friends. I saw some barrels stacked, with their brewing equipment visible which is a nice visual touch. Don't forget the popcorn. I didn't notice the popcorn machine up near the entrance until I was leaving.

I had the plum saison and a pilsner. I really enjoyed the plum saison. The servers were nice and friendly.

They didn't sell food, and I don't recall anything really close by. I imagine they're cool with you bringing your own food.

There are four solid breweries in Torrance, and this is one of them.

Stopped by months to finally check this place out..huge warehouse with lots of seating. Prices are pretty reasonable from $2-3 for tasters to your $6-7 for pints. Staff is very friendly and whatnot. Most of the people that frequent this place give off a very welcoming vibe so whether its your first time or 300th time, youll always feel good going there to relax or just randomly talk to someone you dont know. Just abide by their parking rules and youll enjoy it longer!

In just a few years, Smog City went from a side project of Tustin Brewing to a production brewery in Torrance. While I was casual observer who did like a few of the beers that they produced, I decided to check out the brewery anyway, although parking on-site is limited. When I entered early evening, I learned why I had to wait for a parking spot to appear; it was very busy. Although there were multiple tables and chair in the tasting room, I did not find a spot to seat myself. There was a short queue for beer purchasing, with the tap menu listed behind. There was even a hot dog stand inside the brewery. Take note for those outside the state: only in California do we claim to be healthy by eating organic hot dogs, only then to top it with Cheez Whiz.

With 10 different beers on-tap, selection was no problem (among them; pilsner, pale ale, IPA, saison, coffee porter, imperial stout). If that wasn't enough, there were also several additional casks (temporarily) running. All the standard pours were $6, though sizes may vary depending on beer (8 oz, 12 oz, 16 oz). Along with shaker pints, tulips were utilized too. Both beers that I tasted were executed well with pure flavor (though I had a small disagreement with Chip Shot, there's no denying that it's flavorful). With that in mind and a staff which kept order in the brewery, Smog City is one to visit in South Bay.

Been to Smog City twice, and enjoyed myself both times. Located in a medium sized Industrial space, with room to grow, the tasting room is fairly straightfoward as craft brewing industrial tasting rooms go, a few chairs, tables, barrels, Cold box for kegs, taps, cashier, etc.

Porter, the owner, makes some really balanced beers, ranging from mild, to intense, along with a few experiments. I've enjoyed the Coffee Porter, Amarillo Gorilla (through the hop rocket was amazing when it was on) their limited apricot Saison, along with a few of their pales, lagers, etc. Overall, not only another welcome brewery to LA, but so far, one of the better ones imo compared to their peers/competition. Bought a growler, so I'll be back.

I recently stopped in to Smog City since I haven't been to their taproom yet. It's a pretty large space in an industrial area with the brewery and tasting room right next to each other mixed in with barrels holding some upcoming barrel aged offerings. There is a bar with no seating, but there are seats and tables scattered around the place. They had about 10 beers on tap covering a good variety of styles. The quality of everything was pretty good. Service was pretty good but there was only one person pouring and it took a while to get my beers. Prices for tasters were $2-3 and pints were about $5 each. Definitely worth a stop if you're in the area.
