Poured black with ruby edges at 56°; tan fizzy head with some rocks; poor cap retention leaves a small island of micro dots and a solid ring; small spots of lace on agitation; thin legs at best. Weak cinnamon, even weaker bourbon nose. Spicy chilies, cocoa nibs, cinnamon and a wee touch of bourbon on the back end. Light body, medium minus carbonation; warmth in the mouth from combination of 13.7% abv and hot peppers. Overall, good balance between base, barrel and adjuncts; good spicy green chilies linger; however, all the flavors are mild and the body is almost watery; when did BBA impy stouts become poundable? I’d drink again but would not seek out.

Pours black with a modest, crema colored head of foam one finger in size. Aroma is bourbon, cinnamon and hot peppers. Taste is less peppers, but definitely bourbon, a touch of vanilla and, when sipped, chocolate comes through in a small way. This is a high ABV beer and it doesn't hide it. No whiners.
