Crystal clear amber brew with plenty of foam in the Trappiste Rochefort chalice. Aroma of straw and flowers. Warm and malty in the mouth, a sprightly but substantial body, Taste is grainy and malty. Flavors of bread, cereal, and a lemony note. Distinctly sweet but well-kissed with hops; notes of resins and that elusive Euro taste. Modest bitter aftertaste. Actually quite a flavorful Pilsner that makes for a good gulp while giving you something to chew on. From the 16 oz can purchased at Bine & Vine. Dated 06/02/23.
