looks a little weak but the taste is so crisp! feel is quite alright for a light colored beer. smell holds its own too, touch of sap and pine. it’s refreshing and bright and not too bitter at all, very crushable.

Look: has glass appeal
Smell: muted Simcoe
Taste: Simcoe without the resinous after taste. The Nelson Sauvin and Columbia hops extend the hops presence with a light floral taste. No hops persistence.
Feel: substatial and satisfying. I almost had two of these in a row which I rarely do.
I would buy this again.

I have to say: Raul isn’t really into that experimental stuff. Salvador Dali? Nah, take a hike. Luis Bunel? Don’t watch his stuff. So when I read “experimental IPA” on the can - Raul wasn’t too excited. That being said, maybe this beer is like a bad tab of acid, because Raul doesn’t taste anything experimental-like. Which is good. Because of I wrote above.
Ok, time to wet the whistle.

1 month after canning, poured into a modified perfect pint glass with etched carbonation grid. In your face wallop of pine and mostly grapefruit aroma. Barely 1 finger white head receding to 1/8 inch. Fair amount of lacing. Pale gold, crystal clear. Taste is grapefruit pith and some lesser amount of pine.moderate carbonation and medium body. Nice amount of bitterness, but not overwhelming.

A-Poured into coffee cup, will update
S-Citrus and grapefruit forward
M-Lower end car inaction with medium body, dry mouthfeel
T-Subtle sweetness upfront in the form of citrus, then a bitter medley comes through and lingers significantly with a pith punch
O-Very nice brew
