On tap at Kings Row Gastropub in Pasadena, CA.
Pours a hazy dark orange-red with a foamy khaki head that settles to a partial film on top of the beer. Foamy patches of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of malt, grain, caramel, and citrus zest aromas. Taste is much the same with citrus zest and herbal flavors on the finish. There is a medium amount of hop bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty good beer that definitely a hopped up American take on the style.
