pours a very hazy amber gold body that lightens to mellow yellow old on the edges, along with an excited frothy foamy white head that has lower retention; a small amount of lacing manages to hang on as the head slithers down to a pronounced halo around a thin murky cap
a pungent passion fruit aroma is peppered by vanilla cream, slightly grassy hop tinges, and bready, caramel malt
the taste delivers on the aroma's advertising, offering a citric and punchy passion fruit blast, dragging in a vanilla laced cream and a welcomed grassy hop bitterness in the finish that has a lowkey creeping on pine-grapefruit notes.
mouthfeel: moderate carbonation and medium body; pillowy, creamy and smooth, with an almost-dry finish and a near-pine-grapefruit hop bitterness in the aftertaste.
overall:
this is a solid "milkshake" IPA that actually delivers on the advertised jazz: lush, punchy and tropical passion fruit; creamy vanilla tinged lactose; grassy and even pine-leaning-grapefruit hop bitterness - all checked. the lactose creaminess isn't too forward, the hops are given most of the stage with the fruit and pine, providing a balanced affair that is hard to come by even in IPAs not dangling the "milkshake" moniker.

Served on tap in a pint glass
Appearance – The beer is served a very hazy orange color with a tiny fizzy white head. The head fades very fast leaving almost no lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma of the brew is has lots of sweet citrus smells mixed with an almost creamy and vanilla smell. It sort of smells a bit like an orange creamsicle.
Taste – The taste begins with a sweet tangerine and orange sweetness with a rather decent showing of a creamy milky like taste. There is also a little bit of grapefruit hop as well as some caramel and big bready malt taste, creating a sweet and dessert like taste. As the taste advances these tastes remain rather big, and with a little bit of hay that develops at the very end, one is left with a sweet creamsicle like flavor with a touch of grapefruit and herbal hop flavor to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the brew is thick and creamy with a carbonation level that is slightly lower. For the big creamsicle flavors of the brew the feel is nice making a nice sipping feel.
Overall – While classified as an IPA, I certainly would not classify it as one, as it just has a bit of hpopiness. All said however the beer does have a nice sweet and dessert like flavor and makes for a sweet, slow sipper.
