I am having a glass on tap at the brewery
L: pours brilliant gold under a thin 1/2" off-white cap

S: tropical fruit, light malts, some Belgian yeast character and a mild touch of mango

T: complex mix of Belgian yeast fruit flavors, tropical fruit and citrus flavors from the hops and the added mango start the palate supported by moderate levels of bread crumb

F: body and carbonation are medium.

O: just enough mango to balance and highlight the other elements of the beer without overpowering them, resulting in a flavorful and very drinkable beer.

their normal belgian ipa spiked with mango, fresh and tasty for the summer, and easily the best of the three beers we had in here on a recent disappointing visit. the mango in here is sweet and strong, a puree or something, but it also rather natural. it doesnt quite have that fresh mango juicy tangy bite to it, but the sweetness and honest flavor is there, and its nice with the hops they use, and a nice counterpoint to the hop bitterness that exists in the base beer. the cooler interaction though is the belgian yeast and the mango, i always thought the two would go well together, but we almost never see mango in belgian beers, i dont know why. here its great, with the spice and the sweet together, a honey note, white wine even, and it seems like a really natural harmony they have together. i would like it to be a little drier on the whole though, its sweet finish limits how much of this i want to drink, although i think the recipe and execution are quite good, they could scale back the mango sweetness just a bit and have an even better beer. cool stuff though, not sure ive seen many belgian ipa types with fruit, so this was something a little different. i prefer the original though still i think...
