L- Inky black, even held up right by a halogen lamp not a photon gets through it. Pours with thin head, that swiftly clears.
S- Fruity, first I get blackberry, then I notice a slightly tart note and ponder apple and blackberry.
T- Woah, intense. Deep, intense espresso coffee, balanced by some molasses.
F- Rich, dark, notably intense. Don't plan on trying any more delicate drinks after this fusilade of a brew. The carbonation is low in the glass and mouth. This seems to be not uncommon with beers with ABV% as high as this. Since the flavour etc is SO rewarding it hardly figures for me though.
O- BAM! This is a statement of intention; and the beast within is unmissable. Ideal winter/Xmas beer. I'd definitely drink this again.
330ml bottle. Bought from The Foundry Brewpub in Canterbury. BB: unknown. I can't find one anywhere on the bottle.
