L- Either ultra deep amber, or pale chestnut. Clear, pours with 1Cm fine just off-white head. Looks like a quality pint of bitter. [Head holds extremely well!]
S- Mild, just some toasty breadiness.
T- Toasty, dry, pretty heavily hopped (the Cascade hops seem to giving that punch).
F- Notably hoppy dry, but with some balance via decent mouth-feel (meat/richness). Carbonation in mouth is good.
O- If you were to take a trad bitter, and tweak it for contemporary or younger tastes (ie more and punchier hops) then this might be an example of it. There isn't anything done wrongly here as such, but be aware this will best suit fans of materially prominent hop levels. The latter is just a bit too high for me to consider buying it again.
BB: Jan-2020. 500ml bottle. Bought from The Foundry Brewpub in Canterbury.
