12oz can. Poured out a clear, golden orange color with a small, khaki-colored head of foam. It smelled of toasted caramel, malt and pine. Sticky sweet and a little unbalanced.

L: Pours hazy gold under a 2” foam cap that takes 3 minutes to descend to ¼ its original size.
S: Very faint minty hop aroma, light biscuit.
T: Some light biscuit with an interesting light tartness on the finish. Mild light fruit, medium malt flavors and some assertive hop bitterness.
F: Medium body and medium carbonation.
O: Descent American pale ale.

12oz bottle dated 21.08.15, poured into a stemless wine glass.
The beer pours a hazy copper color, orange hues with a thick, foamy, creamy white head that has good retention and yields loads of soapy lace. The aroma is decent, light citrus rind, mild pine, faint hop spice, sticky malt that has a bit of sweetness, very soft and understated nose. The flavors are in line with the nose, grapefruit peel, a bit of tangerine, pine, grassy earthiness comes across with a light spice, only a touch of bitterness at 40 IBU and an assertive malt bill that really stands out with a bit of doughy pale malt. The mouthfeel is very pleasant, coating, nice full body, moderate carbonation with a soft finish that has a light dry bite.
Verdict: An approachable pale ale from Mankato Brewery, very soft and simple flavors, not overly bitter, refreshing for sure and very easy to put back. I would definitely gravitate to this as a local during the summer months.

Nicea aroma. Sweet, fresh, citrus and fruity.
Very light colored, yellow light straw and somewhat clear. Nice small white head with a foamy look and some lacing.
Hoppy prominent bitterness is primary flavor and presents stronger than the grassy hop flavors and soft malt flavors. There are hints of the enjoyable fruits noted in the aroma, but the grassiness dominates.
Slightly thin and fully carbonated.
Pretty average. Nothing offensive.
