I tried this beer off the tapper at the brewery as part of a four sample flight whilst visiting Mankato, Minnesota for my daughter's gymnastic's meet at Gustavus Adolphus. It poured a hazy golden with white ring head that is left some lace. The scent had citrus fruit notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with sweet malt base and citrus fruit presence. The mouthfeel was lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall it is a great beer.

16oz can with a picture of clint saunders on it, 3mo old to the day

sorta hazy, no chunks. smell is grass, danks, citrus fruit. taste is kinda bland, there is prominent weed and onion, very syrupy and undercarbonated. not bad

Poured from a 16 oz can into a tulip.

How juicy can we go? Mankato Brewery's collaboration with Lupulin Brewing (Big Lake, MN) (and for a good cause--the Jonathan Zierdt Cancer Fund) is part DIPA, part, NEIPA, with plenty of fruity flavor if that is your style.

Pours amber/gold and definitely hazy with a nice head and good lacing. A nice looking brew.

The aromas are rather muted, and feature more "fruit" than "hop" for the style. Still--nice juicy pineapple and mango notes shine through.

Like the aromas, this brew is skewed a little to the "sweet" end of the spectrum. Mango, pineapple, and papaya all show up to varying degrees. The hops are there, but probably aren't quite present enough for the style. As the quaff proceeds, some soapy and boozy dry notes arrive as well.

The mouthfeel is medium, but a little sticky. Could use a bit more carbonation.

Overall, a nice-looking beer that smells pretty good, but seems a little too "juicy" and sweet even for the style.
