On tap for the 4th Annual LA Beer Week Beer Festival at Union Station in Los Angeles, CA.
Pours a murky red with a foamy reddish-white head that settles to a film on top of the beer. Small dots of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of malt, grain, spices, and some fruity aromas. Taste is much the same with a soapy flavor on the finish. There is a mild spice bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty good beer that smells better than it tastes in my opinion.
