Fist beer from SARA thanks to bret27. Canned on 04/30/20.
Murky golden orange with a 1/2" tight head and nice lacing
Interesting smell, peach, honeydew, white grape with some earthiness.
Taste is a combination of peach, honeydew, white grape, bitter lemon rind and pine with an interesting umami finish that begs for another sip.
Medium bodied with small prickly carbonation
Overall this is a beautiful combination of flavors that is very unique. Great use of 100% Nelson hops that I hope to have the opportunity to revisit sometime.

Canned on 3/12/20; consumed on 4/4/20
Pours a turbid, dark sunflower yellow body topped with a dense, fluffy multiple fingers of white head; solid retention leaves a sparse cap of chunky foam, a dense, lasting collar, and a limited spread of soapy, webby/spotty lacing around the glass.
Aroma highlights a tropical sweetness supplementing danky earth tones, a myriad upfront featuring funky, vinous white grape, wet moss, mild cannabis, strawberry, and mango, before tempering into intensely well-attenuated tones of dry hay, barnyard/rye spice, violet, honeysuckle, and musty lemon peel across the middle and close.
Taste shows fresh gooseberry and bright, earthy pine with mild weedy leanings in tandem and readily apparent, featuring kiwi, white peach skins, and candied apricot becoming soft yet sturdy accents; lemon zest and bready malt develop prominently across the mid-palate and into the finish, while pure, floral white grape must lingers through the swallow.
Mouthfeel brings a steady medium body accompanied with a moderate, crisp yet fluffy carbonation developing into a creamy mid-palate as it flows with a slightly gritty, juicy crescendo in the finish; a clean wisp of bitterness pops at the very end of the swallow, imparted a certain completeness on the palate.
The cleanliness and ease of the Nelson hop is extraordinary in this beer, and elevates it to a harmonious level of expression; the end product is pillowy in approach, yet fervently focused on dousing with calculated bursts of fruity sweetness and the varied dankness imparted from its particular single-hopping. A wholly unique NEIPA experience as SARA again weaves together eclectic hop tones with precision and a peaking drinkability.

Growler from brewery.
Cloudy straw, minimal-moderate creamy head with lacing.
Interesting taste and smell. Much more sweet and fruity than bitter and piney.
Label states 100% Nelson hops.
Resin and floral. Sweet maybe citrus but not obviously fruit.
Mouthfeel is pretty thick and juicy. Pairs perfectly with thick appearance.
Very drinkable. Never had anything quite like it.

Drank on tap at City Beer Store, San Francisco, CA
Served in a tulip
Really dramatic appearance. The completely opaque, burnished straw yellow body was topped by a half-inch tall, frothy, bright white crown that slowly dropped to a thick, resilient collar. A drippy wall of lacing coated the glass after each sip and stuck around until nearly the drink’s end.
The aroma was super dank and fruity. Cannabis notes came through big time. Loads of peach and mango. White wine was also noticeable. Both the Mosaic and Nelson hops really made their presence known. Bit of juicy orange and tangerine. Moderate amount of sweetness. As the beer sat, the dankness intensified.
The flavor profile was very similar to the nose. Huge cannabis presence right off the bat. Peach and mango were also apparent. Nice white wine-like quality in the center. The beer finished with some pithy white grapefruit and bright tangerine notes. Touch of lingering bitterness.
Outstanding mouthfeel. Uber creamy, smooth and supple. Completely full bodied for the style. The liquid contained a fine, zippy, tongue blanketing effervescence.
While Sante Adairius might be best known for their barrel program, this double IPA was fantastic. The Mosaic/Nelson combination contributed an amazing dank/winey combo, and the mouthfeel was spectacular. This beer is proof that these folks are definitely not a one trick pony.

Had this on draft @ City Beer Store on 8/6/19.
Opaque yellow appearance.
Small off-white head; thick lace.
Mango, tangy lemon & dry wheat notes in the nose.
Medium mouthfeel.
Mango & tangy lemon flavors up front; dry wheat finish.
A nice NE IPA, but a bit tangy & dry for true transcendence.

Sweet white wine grape, bready/biscuity, grapefruit citrus, and hint of dank nose on this one! I mean, just beautiful and prominent aromatics! Taste follows with Nelson hop profile perfection! It is so well-balanced between the sweet notes upfront and the grapefruit citrus bitterness on the swallow. It is so wonderfully soft on the palate...soft and juicy! This is just world class use of Nelson hops in a dipa! The depth and pillowy soft mouthfeel just wraps it up in a beautiful little package. Outstanding!
