A - Pours a cloudy Mahogany colour with a Beige head that stays around and laces.
S - Plenty of wood and Oak here. Very pronounced and smells like a real Rodenbach
T – Wow, very sour woody notes of oak and the classic vinous finish. This is Authentic Belgian with the correct yeast strain. The finish is very sour indeed. Top Notch
M - Light body with full carbonation perfect !
O – This is authentic Belgian. I have tried a million and one beers not from Belgium trying to be Belgian and they just do not work. This one does. It is Belgian authentic and dare I say even better than the Rodenbach Grand Cru. Definitely in the top 5 beers I have had this year.

A 375ml bottle, with an enjoy before date of August 2019. Poured into a 3 Fonteinen stemmed Zenne glass.
Appearance: A slightly hazy reddish brown colour with a big three finger off white head that had good retention and left some nice spotty lacing.
Aroma: Lightly tart, candied cherry, yoghurt with hints of toffee and balsamic vinegar.
Taste: Lightly sour, tart, mild fruit, cherry, plum, mixed berries, almost like watery red fruit juice.
Mouthfeel: Medium bodied with soft to moderate carbonation.
Overall: Nice aroma but taste didn’t quite match. Sour and tartness was good, but the fruit (red fruit, dark fruit, mixed berries), while there, were rather weak. Carbonation was also softer than I’d hope for.

From bottle, pours a hazey reddish brown with a huge head that disapates to a small tanish head. Aroma vinegar, sour, spicey. Taste malt, lemon, cherry, peppery, slightly tarty. It's ok

Very dark red. hazy, head is short lived, fades to decent film.
Nose is malt overload, a hint cherry.
Taste is also all malt, merest hint of something sour, but more sweet.
A real miss to style, neither a saison nor a flanders red ale.
Miss from a usually reliable mob.

750mL bottle from Slowbeer.
Having heard warnings of retarded levels of carbonation I planned accordingly. After managing the gush factor, gentle pour yields a muddy amber orange with a dirty, rocky white head that recedes slowly with spotty lacing.
Decent lemon tartness quickly gives way to pear and banana esters, sweet caramel and nutty malt character, and candy floss. Nice.
More upfront malt and earthy, doughy yeast character, with duller acidity and less clarity in the ester profile. Okay, but compared with the nose it's gross and indistinct.
Medium bodied with less vigorous carbonation than feared. Not much of a finish to it.
Bashed this a bit, but there's definitely nothing that grates and its still plenty drinkable.

Another new one for me and pours a hazy orange copper hue which leaves a huge ever rising four finger head and heaps of lacing.
Smell is caramel, funk, toffee and a touch of sherbet.
Taste is a tad sudued and very similar to smell with tastes of caramel, toffee,a touch of funk, bready malts, cherries and finished sweet and dry.
Mouthfeel is medium bodied with moderate carbonation.
Overall nothing too flash about this one and i would not revisit anytime soon, and abit sad too as i thought these guys could only improve after their first drop but obviously time to hit the drawing board guys.
