This was a very good version of a traditional saison style. It took a citrusy as opposed to a floral approach, but was a good level of citrus, certainly not overpowering. Very, very nice. Poured at Free Will taproom. Was a brilliant golden orange not opaquely hazy...translucent, held light well. Nice fine lacing in the tulip glass. Smell was citrusy and wheaty, with a little malty funk combo in the back end. Taste was much the same, with the addition of grassy flavors. Mouth feel was fantastic for the style.

on draft at the brewery. made with localed malted barley from Deer Creek Malthouse in Chester County, PA. a bit fruity, dry. solid, standard saison
