Collaboration with Steel String Brewery
This collaboration saison with Steel String Brewery (Carrboro, NC) was aged in wine barrels with locally foraged Kousa Dogwood berries from the late summer 2017 harvest. Notes of apricot, Japanese honeysuckle, subtle vanilla oak, stonefruit flesh, and a very dry, rustic finish.

Poured from a bomber into a Dogfish Head tulip
L: Clear light golden pour with thick foamy white head. Great lacing.
S: Tart and funky... fruit and lemon citrus.
T/F: Follows the nose. Light malt backbone... sweetness followed by funky and tart citrus. Stone fruit.. oak, mild vanilla, and barnyard. Light bodied... super drinkable with zesty carbonation.
O: An outstanding barrel-aged saison from Free Will. Great beer from a great brewery.
