A: Radish red highlights a dark cranberry color pour producing a pretty pink bonnet of two inches. The capping was an unsettling surface, spongy textured, disturbed by a strong carbonation raging beneath. Milkshake like density. Very unique coloring, from the currant, and a equally pretty head coloring.
S: This is perhaps the first instance every that I got a good wiff of the beer's aroma even before opening the can. I looked for leaks or stains on the can, but, seemed intact. While I have the nose of a blood hound, the smell was pretty dominant and clear. Now for the moment of truth. Black cherries and rich sweet chocolate open the aroma. The chocolate isn't as strong as I imagined pre opening, rather the aroma was full of sweet dark fruit, plums, black cherries. There was also a distinct red wine, Cabonnay barrel sense along with sweet vanilla and cocoa coming through. The black currants seem to be the driving force behind the aroma, along with sweet dark fruit and some chocolate apple mentions.
T: The flavor was a sweet slurry of chocolate, sweet green apples and cocoa. Sweet dark fruit and again cabonnay barrel (red wine) like flair. Dark cherries and fig sweet fruitiness. There was some sweet caramel and toffee with a jolly rancher fruitiness. Wonderful chocolate mixture with some passion fruit and sweet blackberries. Beautiful aftertaste, sweet caramel-cocoa and berry fruitiness.
M: Nice fullness, creamy soft where words fail to describe or capture the silky smoothness that is so eloquent. Ill let the rating speak for itself.
O: Overall was a expecting a dark roasted bomb, but this was anything but. More sweet dark fruit and a sour like appeal. The black currants definitely contribute and define the flavor and the mouthful was so eloquent smooth, and soft creamy. Sweet caramel chocolate, dark fruit and berry fruitiness, cherries and figs all combine for an exceptionally flavor and drinking experience.

Crimson, deep purple brew with light head. Purple head, 12 oz pour.
Smells of the black currant initially, then chocolate after it warms.
Wow! Sweet, tangy black currant fruit. Transitions into vanilla and a chocolate aftertaste. It’s a bitter chocolate.
Smooth, tangy and palate coating. Almost a velvety feel.
The flavors of this beer are off the charts. Probably only good for one. Great dessert beer.

12 oz draft...minimal head...looks like fresh veinous blood...smells like rotten berries...the flavor is crazy however...think berry sweet-tart with a vanilla finish. I'm not tasting any chocolate, but there's a lotta flavor in there that could mask it. Definitely a dessert beer, I'd probably have trouble drinking more than one.
