Pours a clear pale yellow, with a thin quickly fading white head. Aroma is mild grain, with a touch of corn. Light body, slightly sweet flavor, with some floral hops in the finish. Overall, a non-offensive light lager, a decent lawnmower beer.

Got a 6pck of this from my local Meijer. It poured a clear golden with white head that is not leaving any lace. The scent had hints of grain. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with grain presence. The mouthfeel is lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall it's a drinkable beer.

This is a great tasting retro macro lager. It tastes like old cheap beers from the 80’s but made with real ingredients and not fillers. I do not taste a ton of corn in this beer like macros of today. Good easy drinking lite brew.

Can best by 11-10-17. Sam Adams glass.
A: pours a crystal clear pale straw with one finger white head and streams, upon streams, upon streams of large-bubble carbonation. Head retained surprisingly well, though no lacing to speak of.
S: lager yeast smell is pronounced from the moment I open the can. That is what "beer" smells like in my mind's eye, a platonic ideal developed from sunny summer afternoons after my dad and neighbor would shoot the breeze after mowing their respective lawns.
T: arrives with a slightly sourdough tartness, bready, a touch lemony, even. Super light and crisp, slightly sweet beery malt. Toward the end of the mid palate that malty sweetness gives way to a light syrupy sweetness, golden corn syrup? Is there corn in this? It certainly tastes like it. Barely any bitterness on the end, can't be much higher than 10 IBUs. A little medicinal lemony twang lingers, suggesting perhaps a specialty hop.
M: that carbonation was all bark and no bite. Moderate carbonation, medium to light feel, and a little slick, which is surprising. All told, this is not as crisp as I would like it to be.
O: I have long lamented that only one craft brewer in Ohio does lagers well (Great Lakes; two if you count Sam Adams). I am glad to see more are giving lagers a go. They taste simple, but are hard to make. This has no off flavors and channels the essence of the simple summertime beer over a grill or chatting with a neighbor barefoot in the grass. It is not as crisp as I'd like, and it gets a touch syrupy at the end, but carbonation and aroma were spot on, and there were no "off" flavors. Well done Four String!

16 fl oz can
Served in a pilsner glass
This beer pours straw yellow and is topped with several inches of off white head that leaves no lacing.
The smell is fresh lime and lemon.
The taste is a perfect balance of malt and refreshing lime and lemon from the hops.
Moderate mouthfeel
This is one of the best plain ole lagers that I have tried. It reminds me of the old Rust Belt beers from the 70's. This needs to come in 30 packs.
