A smoked Scottish style ale with a very rich malt flavor and a nice smoky finish. We also take this beer to the next step by aging it on French oak soaked in Johnny Walker Swing.

Tasted with owner Evan at his outstanding Bowser Brewery. Excellent smoked ale with true Scotch Ale character, body and flavor accented by the oak and JWS.
A: Dark Garnet rich looking beer that catches the light beautifully. Nice full head and considerable lacing/retention.
S: Aroma leaps at you with full bodied malt sweetness, deep toasted oak and rich peat smokiness that accents but does not dominate.
T: OK ...now here come the taste. Wow...did I say wow? Yeah, wow! All the aromas are returned and roll across the palate with a really decadent restrained smokey maltiness...that also displays a solid hoppiness to brighten and elevate the core flavors. This is the real deal.
M: Rolls on the tongue with natural carbonation and a medium, welcoming mouthfeel. I obviously can only speak for my self, but the quality of the body and feel just shout out quality and caring on the part of the brewer.
O: Maybe the best beer I have had this year. It is an outrageously courageous beer that blends experimentation/innovation with fundamental solid brewing. It is a special beer...that suggests this brewery is going to be getting a lot more praise and attention in the future. Sign me up for more.
