With an open spot on the brew schedule for this month, Scott, brewer, demanded that we make a pale ale using an english yeast fermented at a higher temp for to produce lots of fruity esters. Scott also added tons of pear and a touch of cinnamon. It's subtly spicy, with lots of ripe fruit aroma and flavor. Scott's motto, "Scoop it up!" is good advice when it comes to this beer.

Thanks to Rado for sharing this one at drewone's tasting.
Batch # 453/454.
Pours a murky dark honey orange with a foamy bone head that settles to wisps of film on top of the beer. Small dots of lace slowly drip into the remaining beer on the drink down. Smell is of malt, grain, fruit, and spice aromas. Taste is much the same with grain, yeast, and spice flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of spice bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a good level of carbonation with a crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty good beer that doesn't really have any noticeable pear qualities in my opinion.
Serving type: bottle.
