Lizard King is light, crisp and refreshing. Mosaic hops make for one tropical, citrusy, and piney pale that gets our mojo risin’.

Throughout the epic battle, the Ninjas and the Unicorns have been waiting for something, anything, to tip the scale in their favor. After all, The Unicorns and The Ninjas have been fighting this epic battle for nearly an epoch. In this age-old battle, will the Lizard King be the one to end the battle? Will there finally be peace among the two warring parties? Will this be the end of rhetorical questions?!

From a tall aluminum can with an anthropomorphic He-Man-like dragon in the label art, this beer is a hazy straw color with a moderate, soft white head. The aroma has an earthy, floral hop scent. There is a bit of underripe stone fruit as well. The taste is balanced, with an assertive hop bitterness and plenty of hop flavor. Low malt presence, but maybe a bit of graininess in the mid-taste. Medium in body. Interesting, flavorful, and drinkable.

Purchased at J's.

LOOK: Pours a very clear gold in color with a full 2 finger all white head that settles to nothing but a thin skin, far too quickly. It does leave some substantial side glass lace.o
SMELL: The mosaic hop aroma is immediately noticed. Pine nuts and some wet dough.
TASTE: Diverse mix, the mosaic hops, pine reisen, mildly dank but no real citrus but with a little sour after taste.
It is drying and overall a solid Pale Ale although IMO it falls short of being worthy of its $12.99 4 pints price point,

16 ounce can into a tulip glass. Undated, but believe it to be pretty fresh. Had 5/5/24.

Pours a mostly clear bright yellow color, with a one and a half inch foamy head and some foamy lacing. Aromas of lemon, some orange and pine, light wheat. Smells grassy and somewhat dank. Flavors of some lemon and pine, light orange, light malt, a little lime. Tastes grassy and a little dank. Smooth, semi dry, a very good lighter body, well carbonated.

The aroma shows more intensity than the flavor. This is good and really well done, but I obviously don’t find it as good as the average and numerous reviewers. So don’t listen to me.

This is one of the tastiest pale ales I've had. Tropical fruit in both the nose and the palate with a slight malt backbone. A tasty beer you can drink all day long.

Very slightly hazy golden color with a substantial and lasting white head and lots of nice lacing. The aroma is crackery malt, grapefruit and a hint of pine.
The taste also starts with a crackery malt, grapefruit, a touch of lemon and white grapes. The finish is dry with lingering citrus zest and pine resin, mild bitterness.
The body is light/medium, plenty of carbonation, crisp and yet smooth and very drinkable. Altogether, this is an outstanding example of pale ale with a very flavorful hop presence, almost approaching IPA level but pleasantly mild bitterness for easy drinking and very refreshing, excellent.

Look: Pours a medium to light yellow and quickly, a foamy white head forms and retains as a pillow after lightly settling to reveal sheets of lacing left behind
Aroma: Pink grapefruit, pine sap and needles, tangelos, light berry notes, Cannabis, some tropical fruit, and sweet bready malt
Taste: Kicks off with mango and passionfruit that linger for a moment before layers of citrusy goodness start to join the party. As the tropical fruit/citrus combo subsides, pine, berry, and dank get their turn in the spotlight only to be rejoined by the duo for the close
Mouthfeel: Full, clean, medium-high carbonation, and lightly dry on the finish
Overall: This is some good stuff. My first beer from these folks, although I had heard of them before, and a great beer to make a good first impression with – even at 4 months old. A tasty, Mosaic-dominant Pale Ale that has a good depth of flavor, nice malt balance, and comes across to my palate as very clean, which I dig. I would purchase one of these anytime and already want to try more offerings from them
