16oz can. Poured out a clear, golden orange color with a small, white head of foam. It left sudsy trails of lace on the glass. It smelled of blood oranges, caramel, toffee and resin. Sweet orange taste with toasted caramel and a piney bitterness.

Yields a filtered amber color with a slightly beige, stable bigger head atop.
Offers aromas of citrus zest, blood orange pulp and a pleasant spiciness among notes of toffee.
Has a very light body amongst a vivid effervescence, showcasing a well working balance in an easy drinking beer.
Tastes of lime dipped blood orange slices, entangled into doughy malts, which develop a light cake sweetness. Follows up with a mineralic effervescence among sweeter turning caramel malts and bitter limes. Finishes surprisingly soft, with a crisp lime rind note and rustic appearing, subtle malts.
This has a very light body and is quite tamed as it comes to its flavors.

I really CAN't believe that we are getting CANs from Pipeworks in Chicago here in LanCANster, PA! I guess that nothing should be a surprise any more since we have some of the greatest distro in the CANtry. Our archaic post-Prohibition interpretation of the three-tier system is based on the then-Governor's Blue Laws, leading to the State Store liquor system & the Case Law, which has been relaxed, but still makes us very attractive to distributors. Plus, we tend to be some of the nation's heaviest drinkers, based on sales & CANsumption. The CANQuest rejoices!
From the CAN: "Blood Orange Guppy Session IPA with Blood Orange and Honey".
I Crack!ed open the vent on this non-APA 8={} & when I was met with some foaming, I went right into a slow, gentle C-Line Glug. This produced two-plus fingers of dense, foamy, rocky ecru head with decent retention. Color was an oh-so-slightly-hazy Yellow-Gold (SRM = 4 - 5). Nose had a definite orange cast. Mmm. Mouthfeel was thin, not watery, but definitely not up to par for an AIPA (NOT an APA!). The taste was fairly innocuous, faintly orange-y, but meh. It just lacked Ooomph! I CAN deal with the lack of bitterness, but when CANbined with an unobtrusive flavor, I beCAN to lose interest altogether. Finish was light, spritzy, citrusy, but I might as well have been drinking one of 'em new-fangled spritzer seltzers. Blah! YMMV.

Highly hazed, pale yellow appearance, slim white head.
In the nose: nice bitter and fruity notes. Getting as much grapefruit as blood orange, and honey peeks around the corner.
In the mouth: pop, pop, pop, from the hops. Good 'n' hoppy from the front. Starts with a slap, then leans back. Lightish body. Slides down nice and easy. Blood orange flavor isn't as strong as I'd like, but as it is, it's a fine drinking ale and there's nothing wrong with that. Takes turns between bitter and sweet. I like it, I'd drink one again.
