In a way this beer reminded me of sticky rice. Hear me out! The hops provide this sticky, piney and almost nutty flavor to an ale that is sneaky bready and decently hazy. Lighter for a dippa but in a satisfying way.

22 ounce bottle into a tulip snifter. Bottled 1/5/18, had 1/25/18.

Pours a hazy, darker orange, with a half inch foamy head and a good amount of foamy lacing. Aromas of tropical and citrus hops- grapefruit, papaya, orange, malt, pine, light caramel, smells a bit sweet. The taste continues the hops- mango, grapefruit, papaya, malt, some resin, some caramel, a medium amount of hop bitterness throughout, a little sweet note on the finish. Smooth, a solid medium body, well carbonated.

Another excellent one hop DIPA from Pipeworks. A great aroma and flavor, as well as a great balance between the hops and malt. Very enjoyable and well worth a purchase if it comes around again.

Pours a clear golden color with small amounts of lacing. Smell is fruity with dank hops and some tropical hops. Taste has a tropical and citrus hops front its dank with some caramel malts but sweetness is low on this one. Mouth feel is dry with some bitterness with a nice tropical hop bite. A dry and hoppy 2IPA with a big ABV @10% it will sneak up on you.

Welcome to MN! 22 oz. bomber that looks vaguely Assassiny split with my wife.

The pour, it is golden. The aroma, it is melon & sugar.

Idaho 7 comes from a sweet, almost honey-like background. The taste, it is sweet honey, melon, papaya, with just a smidgeon of coconut. Mid-palate is a very mild bitterness more in line with a pale ale than a big, bad IIPA. Finishes with a touch of tangerine, pine sap, & a rush of energy-producing raw sugar. Thicker than 94% of the IPA family, but the sweetness allows me to wash it down quickly.

Dangerous at 10%, this swigs like a session honey ale. Rated against style, this would flunk out like Bill & Ted, but standing on it’s own brown bottle, a pretty good brew.

Dark orange, cloudy, healthy lacing. Somehow clean at the same time dank hop smell. Taste is subtly sharp dank hops, nothing juicy or citrusy about it. Feel is mouth watering and alcohol based, not much else. Pretty good, but nothing groundbreaking or earth shattering.

A big thank you to Matt for this.

Idaho 7 IIPA pours like a classic. Bright and clear light amber with a lightly tanned white head that is velvety smooth looking foam. The lacing is exceptional from first to last sip.

It smells almost classic as well. Tons of citrus mixed with an interesting exotic fruit that seem to ooze along with a sappy pine. Crushed rock candy sugar sweetness seems abundant as well.

The flavor follows, but almost unexpectedly. It is a good blend of the aromas in flavor form, but seem to muddle into a sweet and fruity overload. Orange, tangerine, and melon are extracted of their juices and mixed with a good dose of powdered sugar. The light pine finished is welcomed.

Very bold overall. Its rich and slightly syrupy feel pair perfectly with it's sweetness, while its wet pine needle finish bring it back to balance. The alcohol warmth is surprisingly subtle.

This is a big beer. It's rich and unique, but a little too far on the sweet side in my opinion. I'd recommend it to any fan of the juice forward DIPA's. Thanks again Matt. Cheers!
