16 oz can from Tavour. Pour yields the expected look, aroma reveals coffee, chocolate and roast malts, sweet. Taste starts with the sweetness, chocolate, light roast and coffee, and nice heat. Chocolate and coffee intertwine nicely, with a sweet note that helps blur the lines

Such a beautiful dark black body with just a suggestion of a dark beige head of that is there for a quick visit and then leaves.
Aromas of dark roasted malts and bittersweet chocolate.
Flavor is sweeter than you would think. Some of the best artisan dark chocolate you will taste. A full mouthfeel with a lovely lingering bittersweetness that leaves you wanting some more and more.
Really surprised at the sweetness and shall I say lightness of this beer. Perhaps the aging in the beer fridge for a couple of years has tamed this one a bit, but either way this is delicious.

Pretty good. Warm, rich, toasty, sweet. Smell is a little off, a slight metallic tang. Taste is cjocolatey and malty, velvety, almost fruity tang underneath, bit of booziness.

Thanks to HIGHPA for this 22 oz. bottle. Split with my wife.
Black & quiet. Aroma is also subdued, predominantly roast with a speck of chocolate.
Tonight at Noon harks back to a simpler time, when stouts existed without barrels & Huey Lewis was cool. An old time classic: rich sweet malts, roasty edge, with a lovely hoppiness that reminds me of my introduction to Surly Darknessā¦.almost 11 years ago. Late additions of mild chocolate & leather. No alcohol apparent. Very easy to sip.
Nothing remarkable here, just a very good brew.

22 ounce bottle into a snifter. Bottled 2/7/18, had 4/3/18.
Pours a dark brown, opaque, with a half inch quickly dissipating head and soapy lacing. Aromas of malt, chocolate, fudge, raisins, some toffee and caramel, light vanilla. A pretty good nose full of hops, too. The taste is roasted malt, caramel, milk chocolate, some fudge and vanilla. Has a different kind of hop taste than typical for the style, not in a bad way. Very smooth, a solid full body, well carbonated.
The English hops really make this interesting. Really good flavor, very good aroma. This is a solid effort for a collaboration.

Tasted in a snifter from draught at Firkin on March 23, 2018. A collaboration with Interboro Brewing in Brooklyn. A well made interpretation of the Russian Imperial style.
