22 ounce bottle into a snifter. Had 2/8/19.
Pours a fairly dark amber, somewhat opaque, with no head and no lacing. Aromas of rye whiskey, malt, cherries, figs, tobacco, dates, char, light lemon, light oak, a little toffee. The flavor mostly follows the aroma- rye whiskey, tobacco, malt, figs, some caramel, some oak and char, less cherries than the nose. Kind of taste the bitters, some alcohol warming. Very smooth, a good medium body, appropriately carbonated.
In Willett we trust- is that an actual saying? The barrels do kick this up a notch from the original release and from the Remix blend variant that this was released with. Lots of barrel, expressive aromas, great flavor. On to the next two variants!
