hazy, orange color with a big, white head. Citrus and tropical fruits are in the aroma. Refreshing and juicy taste. Soft, with moderate hoppy bitterness.

Copenhagen 23/5 2023. 47,3 cl can from DrikBeer web-shop. A very trippy can with an eyeball shooting out green beams from two irises while being grappled by huge pink palms.

Pours opaque hazy golden yellow with a mid-sized white head. Stable. Settles as thin patchy layer of foam struggling to cover the surface of the beer. Moderate lacing.

Aroma is medium intense with a sweet, fruity, slightly fermented odor mingling with a more subtle citric scent. Peach and mango. Whiff of alcohol. Lemon and lime.

Light carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, soft, lightly tingling texture.

Flavor is fairly intense with a strong sweetness followed by a medium strong bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter. Lingers for a while. Finish is rather dry.

A fine and potent NEIPA with dry aspirations.

From Brewvana, canned February 27th.

It pours a dark yellow with a fine layer of foam, some lacing.

Smells of grapefruit citrus, tropical fruit, perhaps some pine, no noticeable malt presence for me.

Okay, double dry hopped oat IPA? Not getting any oat. Grapefruit citrus, tropical fruit, mild malt presence of cracker.

Pretty thick mouthfeel.

Good but I am glad that I don't have to drink another.

Glad I found this as it is pretty yummy... Very soupy in appearance with a nice nose and a smooth citrus and/or pineapple hints in taste... Great example of the style .... Find it and enjoy

Velocity of Light looks absolutely thick and delicious. The taste is a bit disappointing.

The smell of the beer is definitely sweet, close to pineapple. The taste is similar, with a little added complexity, and much drier than I might have guessed, if not for the advertised (and elusive) "DDH" on the can. It's a solid New England IPA, but nothing more. While Ninja vs. Unicorn is a legitimately good IPA, VoL is a leach living off of that reputation. Above Average.

$ 5.00 (Including tax)/16 oz can ($ 0.313/oz). Purchased 6/3/20 from Franklin Beer, Franklin, PA. Reviewed 6/27/20.
Date on bottom rim of can “05/18/20”. Stored at home upside down at 42 degrees and served at 45 degrees in a hand washed and dried Jester King snifter.
Appearance – 3.75.
First pour – Straw (SRM 3), hazy.
Body – Straw (SRM 3), muddy and opaque. When held to direct light, same.
Head – Large (Maximum 6.5 cm, aggressive center pour), off-white, medium density with a few embedded rocks, average retention, diminishing to a three to five mm crown and a thin complete cap. Rings of lacing remain as the head retracts.
Lacing – Good. Fairly narrow band of tiny to small bubbles with multiple stalactites. See also above.
Aroma – 3.75 – Begins fruity with mostly pineapple and some hints of dankness, no malt, no yeast.
Flavor – 3.5 – Flavor does not follow nose, little pineapple and mostly dank and bitter. No malt, no yeast. No alcohol (7% ABV, as marked on container) taste or aroma. Weak gastric warming. No diacetyl or dimethylsulfide.
Palate – 3.5 – Medium, creamy, soft carbonation.
Final impression and summation 3.75. Yes, this is indeed yet another NEIPA, unremarkable.

Look: Hazy, yellow with a small amount of head
Smells: BIG tropical notes, oranges and tangerines
Taste: creamy fruits. pineapple, peaches with a little funk to it
Feel: Creamy, zesty, pretty full bodied. The oats really create the mouthfeel.

One of my favorite beers from Pipeworks. Really nails the flavor profile and everything I look for in a NEIPA
