22 ounce bottle into a snifter. Had 7/26/18.
Pours a thick and oily looking dark brown, opaque, with a half inch quickly dissipating head and some soapy lacing. Aromas of chocolate, cocoa, strawberries, light roast malt, vanilla. The flavor shows pretty much the same thing- malt, chocolate, strawberries, cocoa, some vanilla, a light bitterness on the finish. Smooth, a good full body, well carbonated.
This does a very good job of being Neapolitan- all three flavors and aromas come through, with the strawberries being more special and the vanilla less so. Liked it, it’s worth a purchase, but it felt like something was missing.

Pours a dark shiny black color. Completely opaque and thick. Very thin tan head dissipates steadily leaving a thin ring of tan foam along the outside of the beer.
Smell has notes of vanilla, milk chocolate, lactose and some roasted notes. Kind of a muddled generally sweet aroma.
Taste is quite sweet up front - its just a rush of sugary sweetness, but as the beer warms the sweetness starts to differentiate into more pronounced flavors. There are notes of milk chocolate, pistachio, and a light strawberry jam note. Hints of sweet vanilla waft over the palate throughout. Much better warmed than cold - its only then that the strawberry notes really come out. Not at all tart - its much more like strawberry ice-cream which would seem to be what they were going for. A roasted bitterness comes through on the back end that lingers for a short time.
Feel is light, drinkable and smooth. Moderately carbonated.
Overall its a sweet beer for sure, and tough to finish a bomber along, but its a well done beer that tastes very good. Well worth trying and a worthy Jones Dog variant.

Poured from a 22oz bomber into a tulip.
Dark brown body, light brown head that reduces to a ring of foam and leaves no lacing.
Aromas are chocolate and light strawberry. Taste is cocoa, chocolate, and a bit of strawberry on the finish and syrupy sweetness. No vanilla to speak for. Medium body with low carbonation.

22 oz into stout glass. No date.
Black/brown look. Nose is roasty. Taste follows nose. As it warms there is more complexity, sweetness and vanilla then strawberry ending. Silky smooth feel. Very nice dessert stout.Going to grab another.

Had on tap at Tge Dojo. Lightweight and unremarkable. Nothing wrong... just not for me.

Strawberry is a tough addition to work with, but Pipeworks have carried it off nicely with this one, achieving a jammy fruit that plays well with the lactose and vanilla flavor.
