Exactly 5 weeks in the can, this wc style ipa pours golden semi murky with a whipped 2 finger head that creamy and settles lattice like down the glass retaining a film cream head in top. Aroma… it’s classic galaxy hops punchy bold tropical, floral, earthy, and mild bitter. Taste is subdued passion fruit, pineapple, soft lemon heads, intense oily hoppiness. Dry, bitter, smacky, num num, physiologically twangy to the salivary glands in a great way. Excellent and delicious!

Copenhagen 31/5 2023. 47,3 cl can from DrikBeer web-shop. Drawing of some squid-like unity in green and purple on the can.

Pours slightly unclear yellow with a big white head. Stable. Settles as 1 cm thick layer of fluffy foam covering the surface of the beer. Crawling up the sides of the glass. Substantial lacing.

Aroma is medium intense with a sweet odor oe exotic fruit mingling with a mild citric scent. Mango, peach and passion fruit. Citrus and lime.

Low carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, soft, almost flat texture.

Flavor is fairly intense with a medium strong sweetness followed and balanced by a medium strong bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter with a light sweet undertone. Lingers for a while. Finish is semi-dry.

Well balanced and balanced Single Hop feeature.

Pours a hazed & effervescent gold with 2 fingers of whippy eggshell colored head. Great lacing & head retention

S: Pears, guava, not much else

T: Passion fruit, pomelo, dryness & a little leafy hop up front. A touch of grapefruit shows as this beer warms, along with faint pineapple & leafy hops & more dryness, plus some apricot. Finishes dry with leafy hops & a little bit of pomelo

MF: Medium body, subdued carbonation, good balance

Was expecting more Galaxy pop. this was just okay. Maybe its old, no discernable date

Slightly hazy, rich but not lustrous gold liquid supports a slowly receding foam layer that is amply replenished from the Duvel nucleation site in the bottom of the tulip, Bits of head cling here and there.

Too faint but lemon drops and powdered sugar tease the nose.

Fun taste roller coaster - bounces from lemonade to pith to grass - very juicy.

Juicy and cloying .

Totally solid choice in a very competitive field.

16 fl oz. can, no date on the bottom and I spilled precious beer on myself for checking. A new one to me from Pipeworks in the 4pk format, a Galaxy hopped IPA.

Poured to a clear wine snifter.
Pours a clearish yellow-orange body, lighter than the typical burnt orange IPA. Finger of frothy soapy head. Looks fresh & appealing.
Aromas are fresh, floral, grassy, soapy. Notes of pine & earth. Smells excellent.
Taste follows: super fresh & floral. Grassy, earthy, herbal hop presence gives notes of pine, lemongrass, grapefruit flesh, citrus peel. Good balance, with a nice bready honeyed biscuit backbone. I was going to comment on it's drinkability for 7.3% which is what BeerAdvocate lists, but the can lists 6.5% abv, which is about what it feels like. Not boozy or astringent. Perfectly balanced & drinkable stuff. Excellent carb. Finishes dry, bitter, & bready. I'll clearly be needing another 4pk of this stuff. Standard, simple, excellent Pipeworks IPA fare.

Infinite Galaxy from Pipeworks. Purchased 0n 27/1/21 for $ 4.00 (Including tax) for 16 oz can ($ 0.250/oz) from Franklin Beer, Franklin, PA. In reefer at store and stored at home at 42 degrees. Reviewed 2/2/21.
Stamped on bottom rim “PKG 12/0420”. Served at 49.2 degrees in a hand washed and dried Jester King snifter. Final temperature 53.2 degrees.
Appearance – 4.
First pour – Pale Straw (SRM 2), clear.
Body – Bright Straw (SRM 3), hazy. When rear-lite, translucent and effervescence is evident.
Head – Large (Maximum 6.5 cm, aggressive center pour), white smoke, high density, short retention, leaving a seven to twenty mm lacy crown fed by effervescence, and a complete rocky cap. Second pour produces a 1.5 cm head.
Lacing – Good – Wide band of tiny to medium bubbles, eventually evolving to torn curtain lacing.
Aroma – 3.5 – Mild citrus and peach, weakly floral, no malt, no yeast.
Flavor – 4 – Begins generically citrus-fruity and slightly bitter. No malt, no yeast. No alcohol (7.3 % ABV, as marked on container) taste or aroma. No gastric warming. No dimethylsulfide or diacetyl.
Palate – 3.5 – Thin, watery, lively carbonation.
Final impression and summation: 3.75 Definitely a galaxy hop showcase: otherwise, no particular reason to buy it.

16 ounce can into a tulip glass. Had 12/2/18.

Pours a bright golden color, fairly clear, with a one and a half inch foamy head with good retention and lots of foamy lacing. The Galaxy hops smell great. Aromas of pineapple, passion fruit, grapefruit, some lemon, some pine, light yeast and malt. The flavor follows the nose- pineapple, passion fruit, grapefruit, malt, some pine, a little bit of a grassy taste. Smooth, a very good lighter body, well carbonated.

Very good aromas and flavors, the Galaxy hops are the obvious star. Well balanced and very enjoyable. Worth a purchase.
