22 ounce bottle into a tulip snifter. Had 9/26/18.
Pours a bright orange/yellow, fairly hazy at first- but clears up, with a one inch foamy head and a decent amount of foamy lacing. Aromas of tropical hops- orange, pineapple, light papaya, grapefruit as it warms, oak, light malt, some dank hops. The taste also starts with the tropical hops- grapefruit, pineapple, orange, some papaya, light mango, malt, oak. A decent amount of hop bitterness throughout, with a light dank flavor showing midway. Smooth, a good light to medium body, well carbonated.
Very good and expressive aromas and flavors, but there’s nothing unique or special going on. Thought there would be more of an oak presence. It’s very enjoyable and well worth a purchase at a great price point.

Bomber bottle, no date seen. Poured into a tulip (after my bottle stopped gushing).
Took out of the fridge to warm up a bit and then I popped the cap. Took my eyes away for a second , looked back to see just off white head spilling out of the bottle. After it calmed down I poured into a tulip. Appears a softer, dull orange. Has a finger’s worth of quickly receding head leaving some spotty fingers of lace and a medium ring around the glass.
Aromas of oranges, tropical fruit, citrus peel, oak, honey.
A little dirty fruitiness, citrus, mandarin orange, mango, guava, graininess. Oak faintly at the finish.
Higher carbonation than preferred, somewhat prickly body.
I was intrigued by the label, I usually really like the oak aged IPAs. This one, while not horrible, was not a good example. Could be age related, wouldn’t know based on no bottled date.

The oak flavor is faint, but just enough for me. Well done.

IPA with oak spirals... No bottling date - I suppose there's a chance it's as old as from the original August 23rd release, but I don't know - tell right off the bat, I don't care - I'm loving it...
Fermented on French and American Oak, featuring Citra and Cascade hops, Golden Naked oats, Maris Otter malt, and red wheat...
Medium gold and lightly hazy with a finger of white foam on top... Head slimmed but stayed a creamy cap all the way down and left lace lines behind as I drank... I've only had a few oak aged IPA-type beers, and I think I'm inclined to say I'm a fan of that particular pairing... The oak and the fruits kinda marry into something almost chardonnay-like here - floral, oaky, moderately bitter, mildly sweet, with pale fruit notes suggestive of citrus orchards and stone fruit - but kinda washed out and alcoholic - well, wine-like really... Amply carbonated, smooth, a little yeasty and tart - funky as if brett were involved... Another comparison I can use now is to a Brut IPA - this beer being kinda dry and tangy, but with a sweet undertone... Whatevs - take my scores for what you will - I really like it...

This was a fun one. The oak was not subtle, in fact it was robust in taste, paired nicely with orange, pine, hops, biscuit malts, and lemon. Smell was fresh cut wood with some piney hops and orange. Surprisingly balanced beer given large wood note. Have to like the high wood presence, but if you do give this one a try!

Tasted in a Rastal Teku from a 22 fl oz bottle on September 11, 2018. IPA fermented on American and French oak. Nice balance of hop, malt and barrel notes.
