Had this on 2019-12-15 near Pittsburgh, PA from a 22oz bottled in 2018.
A - Opaque dark brown with a 3/4-finger light brown head that drops quickly leaving mild lace.
S - White chocolate-covered cherries with a nut topping.
T - Charred grain, semi-sweet chocolate, dried cherries, vanilla yogurt, earthy spice. In the finish, the roasted bitterness mingles nicely with the cherry-chocolate-yogurt flavor for good balance.
M - Medium-heavy body and light-medium carbonation. Dryer than you'd suspect from the aroma and flavor. Leaves you wanting another sip.
O - Surprisingly easy to drink for an 8.5% milkshake stout. Very nice on this cold, blustery day.

22 ounce bottle into a snifter. Had 11/6/18.
Pours an opaque, dark brown, with a half inch head and some foamy lacing. Aromas of chocolate, vanilla, malt, cocoa, some toffee, light molasses, a nutty aroma. Flavors of chocolate, malt, vanilla, some cocoa, light caramel, a light nutty flavor. Has a faint fruit taste, identity unknown. Smooth, a good full body, well carbonated.
Good base beer, great aroma, the cacao and vanilla show well. The pistachios have an impact, more in the aroma. I didn’t get the cherry at all. Worth a purchase at a decent price point.

This has more nuance than the previous ice cream beer, jones dog sundae. Smell is best aspect with nice dark candied cherry and cocoa, but the pistachio is lacking, but don't really miss it. Airy and sweet in the smell, really inviting. Now for the taste, let it warm up! Cherry is strongest, than chocolate, and there is some nuttiness in the sweet malt, along with some supporting vanilla and roasted elements. Body is medium, light but not thin. Definitely a dessert beer, but another good one from pipeworks

Tasted in a Spiegelau IPA glass from a 22 fl oz bottle on November 27, 2018. I recommend letting this warm up a little before drinking. Stay away if you do not like sweet stouts.

Pours clear, dark brown in color with 1/4 inch head. Taste is big vanilla, cocoa, and cherry candy...not really picking up pistachio. Heavy bodied, very sweet, low carbonation. Way better as it warms. Makes for a nice and sweet interesting holiday treat.

22oz bottle and the only date indication is a 2018 copyright bug on the label.
Oozed into a pint glass like 50 weight oil and boasting a light-sucking blackness with an enticing 1/2in persistent cap of tight bubbles floating on top. Sheets of lacing on agitation seep back to level with clean glass behind.
Aroma is a childhood memory of cherry, vanilla, and cocoa ice cream soup at the end of a great dessert.
Flavor however is muted, or muddled. Neither a nut, vanilla or chocolate make themselves known, and the cherry can't make it through the sludge.
Mouthfeel is smooth and creamy, as advertised.
Overall I was very excited by the look and aroma, but quite disappointed with the disappearing flavor.
