22 ounce bottle into a snifter. Fall 2018 edition aged in Heaven Hill barrels, had 11/30/18.
Pours an opaque dark brown, thick and oily looking, with a short, quickly dissipating head and some specks of lacing. Aromas of bourbon, chocolate, roasted malt, oak, char, coconut, molasses, some vanilla and tobacco, light toffee. Smells incredible. The taste follows the aroma. Flavors of bourbon, chocolate, coconut, roasted malt, cocoa, molasses, oak, vanilla, some caramel and figs, a light sweetness overall. Smooth, a little creamy, a solid full body, well carbonated.
The Heaven Hill barrels are terrific, as is the overall aroma. The coconut really shows well. This is just a joy to sip, very well executed.

L: It ain't got no alibi. Very dark brown with a little bit of head and lots of coconut floaties.
S: One of the best smelling beers I've ever drank. Tons of fudge with a little bit of vanilla on the nose, surprisingly not much cononut.
T: This is about 6 months old at least, so I'm afraid the coconut might have faded a little. Still some pretty good coconut flavor though, with a chocolate taste throughout and just the perfect amount of bourbon presence. Not too sweet, just a little bit. Really great.
F: Moderately thick, not too much burn, very good.
O: Maybe the best Pipeworks I've had to date. Excellent BA stout. I was a little nervous, because I didn't really enjoy the non-BA version of this that much, but this one was fantastic.

Released late 2018; drank 3/9/19 @ the Palace. Reviewed from memory 3/10/19.
A complex, delicious stout treat; coconut was there but not overpowering, and notes of pipe tobacco, fresh earth & brandy were swirling around as this warmed.
Definitely one to track down if possible.

Had on tap. This was an excellent stout, everything was masterfully done. The smell featured the toasted coconut, but not in an obnoxious way, rather as a prominent piece that melded into the layers of bourbon, chocolate, and vanilla. Taste was the same way, with the coconut finishing more and more as the beer warmed up with some wood coming into play as well. So smooth, luxurious, and full to the point of being the perfect amount of heavy.

Hands down best BA offering I've had from them yet. Bummed I missed out on Apple Brandy but this one is phenomenal. Coconut done right.
