Imperial Milk Stout brewed with Oreo cookie wafers, vanilla bean, lactose, and cacao nibs.
What's better than an Oreo? An Oreo dipped in a nice glass of milk. What's better than that?? A decadent, rich and fudgy Imperial stout that captures all that nostalgic deliciousness. This is a variant of our Imperial Jones Dog recipe.

L: Jet black color, two finger brown head, superb lacing, no visible carbonation.
S: Sweet, chocolate.
T: Sour, sweet, chocolate, funky. I think this batch is way off.
F: Medium bodied, lots of flavor.
O: I'm confident this batch is off so this isn't how this beer should taste.

22 ounce bottle into a snifter. Had 3/14/19.
Pours an opaque dark brown, with a quarter inch foamy head and some foamy lacing. Aromas of chocolate, cocoa, vanilla, molasses, roasted malt, some toffee. The flavor mostly mirrors the aroma- chocolate, cocoa, malt, some vanilla and molasses, light caramel. Smooth, lightly creamy, a good full body, well carbonated on the high side.
The add- ins mostly show well and play nicely with the base beer. Fun and enjoyable, but overall it’s a little ordinary.

Tasted in a Rastal Teku from a 22 fl oz bottle on January 13, 2019. Chocolate Milk Stout brewed with cacao nib, vanilla, lactose and chocolate wafers. Disappointing.

Pours dark brown, appropriately thick for 8.5% ABV, with a full finger of cocoa-powder head on top. Rich in chocolate wafer and creamy goodness on the nose, with some very modest lactose and spice notes lurking in the background once it warms a bit. Midpalate is where all the action is, with respect to the cookies. Up front, the base milk stout dominates, with the very light yogurt tartness of the regular Jones Dog, and more chocolate near the finish. Really fun variant.

Best of the dog ice cream stouts so far! Oreo chocolate wafer really comes through in the taste, with vanilla, dutch black cocoa, sugar, fudge and roasted malt. Smell has a different inflection, focusing more on the vanilla and cocoa in an airy and warm way. The wife liked this one too
