L: slightly hazy gold permeated by streams of rapidly rising bubbles under a lacy 1" snow white cap with fair retention.

S: leads with a lemony mango scent with citrus and a trace of pie crust.

T: Rich fruit flavors and a bracing tartness smoothed out by mango and a light dose of lactose and a trace biscuit. Finishes dry and tart with mango lingering long into the aftertaste.

F: Creamy and crisp, medium body, medium plus carbonation.

O: A very drinkable and repeatable beer.

 

 

 

Kind of reminded me of the sour ipas illuminated does. Both star fruit, but here this ipa gets really sweet, where IBW usually has the hops cut the sweetness. Any who, this is still a fun and lighthearted beer to be enjoyed best in the spring. The taste stars the huge mango but it brought some friends: lemon, banana, orange and of course, hops. This mixes in while the sour is more in a sweet tart way. Decent carbonation is a big help in the feel on this one, well rounded. The smell is sweet and sour mango with some floral hops. Really liked the idea, just needs some tweaks

Tasted in a Spiegelau IPA glass from a 22 fl oz bottle on January 9, 2019. Sour IPA with brewed with mango and lactose. Smooth and a little sweet with huge mango notes.
