16 oz can, dated 8/10/20, into Bearded Iris Willi Beecher glass.

Pours a foggy half transparent blonde body with streaks of amber, and a creamy tightly woven cap of 1 finger. It stays like that for awhile but leaves some thick lacing as it subsides.

Aroma is great! From the first click of the can, pineapple fills the room and is at the forefront of this beer. Behind that are some funky Citra notes with slight orange juice and pink grapefruit.

Flavor is a little faded/papery on the palate but surprisingly not too bad for 11 weeks old. The flavors are still present but I'm not as much of a fan of them as I was the aroma. It opens with grassy bitterness and lemon peel, follows with a flash of pineapple, and then some sweat sock and funky papaya or other over-ripe tropical fruit. Almost seltzer-water-y. But with hops.

Feel is clingy and starchy and has a lot of busy carbonation with a mild alcohol heat and copious hop cling. It does not finish clean.

Overall, this was an okay beer but I think I liked their "Infinite Citra" a little better. This is my last can of the pack so I've had a little cuddle time with this one. Ultimately, as you'd expect, their best sellers Lizard King and Ninja Vs. Unicorn are leagues above this. But if you're sick of those and still want the Pipeworks "flavor", this is a decent weekender. I wonder what it would be like at only a couple days/weeks old. For $10 this is an okay to fair 4 banger.

Price paid : $9.99 / 4 pack
Would buy again : if I could find it fresher

16oz can with a date. Cool can art

Nice and light, very refreshing. Almost tastes like a pineapple La Croix (i dunno if that exists). Clean cracker malt, stankity hops, and juicy pineapple rind

No idea if it's natural flavor or "natural flavor" but I don't care, it's tasty

L: Hazy amber color, three finger white head, messy lacing, light carbonation.

S: Pineapple, hops, juicy. Smells wonderful!

T: Pineapple, hops, malts.

F: Medium bodied, very heavily carbonated.

O: The beer is decent but the extreme carbonation makes it hard to drink.

Look: in my opinion one of the coolest cans I have ever seen. Guppy huffing bubbles, tiki and a volcano eruption. Name a better trio.

Smell: bubble puffin

Taste: lotta flavor and something to switch up if it’s summer time

Feel: was bagging (cornholing) hard while drinking this. So only a decent buzz..

Overall: love it. Would get again. Summer beer. Winter beer. Anytime beer.

Pours clear, bright gold in color with 1/4 inch head. Taste is big pineapple and straw. High carbonation, light bodied, slightly bitter. Has a huge pineapple burst and this holds its taste a lot more than some of the other Pipeworks ipas that have made it out here. I will be getting this again.

Pours a cloudy pineapple juice color with a huge white cap. Great retention and very nice lacing. Aroma is tropical, pineapple and a hint of pine. Flavor follows the nose, sweet fruit up front with a hint of bitterness in the finish. Feel is light bodied, a touch watery. Overall a ho hum offering, but given the low abv expected.

16 oz into chalice. Dated 8/29/19.
Look is nice hazy yellow. Smell is sweet and pineapple, of course. Taste follows with sweet top and a little piney end with pineapple poking through. Feel is fairly light. Overall a nice APA but not great. Would drink again.

16 oz. Can
Canned On: 08/05/2019

Poured into a Tree House glass a pretty nice cloudy pale yellowish color, pretty nice carbonation, with a pretty nice thick/creamy one-finger white head, which leaves some pretty nice sticky lacing behind. The nose is hoppy, malty, with a nice citrus complex (orange, tangerine, pineapple), some diesel. The taste is pretty nice, hoppy, malty, with a nice citrus complex (orange, tangerine, pineapple), nice little diesel like. Medium body, ABV hidden very nicely, nice little dry/bitter finish. Overall, a tasty brew.

16oz. can served in a willibecker. Pours a dull, burnished orange with a hazy clarity and a fizzy, half-inch, off-white head that slowly sizzles, settles and disperses towards the edges. Nose expresses subdued notes of tropical fruit, pith and an earthy/herbal quality towards the back. Taste follows nose. Light malts come through as well as perhaps a hint of lactose sweetness and an artificial fruit quality. Mouthfeel is light in body with an assertive carbonation. Overall, decent; however, not my favorite offering from these guys.

Light haze, golden orange, soap suds foam and loose lacing.
Floral hop aroma, vague dried pineapple, could be more intense.
Fruity and tropical, floral hops and citrus peel bitterness in the finish.
Light bodied with ample carbonation, easygoing and refreshing.

Poured from a 16oz can with a canned on date of 6/14/19; into a pub glass.
Appearance- a slightly cloudy straw yellow with a hurricane of bubbles holding a thick, ice cream cone white head; lacing is thick and sticky!
Smell - very tropical with plenty of citrus; pineapple, guava, mango, orange and grapefruit!
Taste - just like the nose with a blend of earth and floral hops!
Taste - light, but not nearly what the ABV would suggest; flavorful crusher with staying power!
Overall - easy drinking and low ABV, but this is very flavorful and has no watered down feel!

Gold to light copper in color with a fingernail of off white around the rim and covering most of the top. The body is exceptionally hazy and murky. Light lacing. Lots of pineapple and tropical fruit including pear and melon in the nose. I’m tasting pineapple, peach, pear and a suggestion of light malt. The mouth is steady and unobtrusive.

16oz can, date stamped 06/19/2019. Hazy yellow-orange body has a frothy off-white head that leaves some lacing on the glass. Sweet ripe pineapple aroma with tropical hops in the background. A heavy dose of pineapple melds with tropical hop undertones of passion fruit, mango, and melon; light malt. Medium body, ample carbonation, mildy bitter finish but the pineapple keeps it sweet. Good Guppy just like the other variations.

Had this beer on tap. I really like the Guppy series so far. Low alcohol beers that actually have some taste to them. This one was loaded with fruit in both the smell and taste. Obviously a lot of pineapple but also grapefruit and mango. And yes it's a little light in both taste and feel but for a beer under 5% it's really good.

The Guppy line of fruited session pale ales has generally been good to me, but the pineapple addition is one I'm really pumped for. Pineapple beers are tough to pull off, I feel like, and I've only had a few that really stand out to me. Let's see if Pipeworks can do a good job with this tropical fruit.

Pours a hazy light-medium golden color with a tight, retentive head of eggshell-white foam. Spectacular legs and pretty nice tiered lace, to boot. Liking the haze this brings, and the surface has some nice suds clustered around the center as well. I'll definitely take it! Good looking stuff.

The nose is pineapple, mango, and grapefruit with a side of grassy tang and pomelo-like rind notes. Kind of "cleaning solution"-y by turns, but it doesn't turn me off by any means. I get a little bit of blood orange-like sweetness in there as well, maybe that's just my memories of Blood Orange Guppy coming to the fore, though! Bright hoppy notes and superior tropical fruit depth... this seems like it will be a really good, thirst-quenching drink!

Wow, I'm loving the balance here! This could easily have jumped straight into being a fruity mess, but the crackery and almost-spicy malt profile blends well with the pineapple and grassy, citrusy hops. Tons of pomelo/grapefruit rind around the edges, plus the sweet and hearty pineapple flavor toward the mid-palate, finishing with a kiss of bitter, pine-y/grassy hops. Very well-made recipe.

Heavier-than-expected body, though, with some sweetness that could definitely come across as cloying once it warms up a bit above fridge temperature. As I mentioned above, pineapple is tough to work with because, in my opinion, it becomes syrupy pretty quickly unless used properly in something like a sour with super-low FG. As such, it's tough to get it to come across strongly without getting that sweet part of its nature in the end result. The hoppiness here helps tame the proceedings, sure, but for a beer under 5% ABV, this just drinks slightly too heavy for its own good. Still, a fun one-and-done, but I probably wouldn't reach for it... Mango and Blood Orange Guppies were both superior because their flavors translate better.

Has a fairly clear straw color with a 2 finger white foam head, which reduces but manages to stick around. Some nice lacing as I empty the glass. Big pineapple scents which produce a good fruity bouquet of aromas. Good juicy tropical notes for a low abv beer with a dialed in hop balance. A light mouthfeel with a slight pucker, carbonated tingle. A good summer afternoon backyard drinker. More importantly a good picnic beer or pool party beer.
Enjoy.

Tasted in a Spiegelau IPA glass from a one pint can on May 6, 2019. Easy drinking session IPA brewed with pineapple. This is a near perfect blend of beer and fruit flavor.
