Tasted in a Spiegelau IPA glass from a one pint can on May 15, 2019. Look is hazy orange gold with a thick creamy head and sticky lacing. Note of citrus and tropical fruit. Soft pillowy feel.

Appearance: Pours a creamy, cloudy and light orange-yellow color with a strong lacy head that lasts. Similar to Orange juice with pulp.
Aroma: Strong aromas of lemon, grapefruit and pineapple. A little florality and pine underneath. Airy and not earthy.
Flavor: Upfront a surprisingly piney and bitterness that fades into the flavor. Taste follows the nose. Tons of orange & grapefruit citrus w/ such strong pineapple flavors. Finishes slightly bitter, but not dank nor resiny. Remains dry, light and airy.
Feel: Remains dry, light, and airy. Nails the smooth and creamy mouthfeel. Impressively carbonated. Finishes with a slight bitter astringency, but uniquely remains light and airy.
Overall: This is a unique combo from Pipeworks and Hop Butcher. In many aspects it nails the NEIPA aspects in terms of light citrus and tropical flavors. It hits the creamy and airy mouthfeel. However, this beer is unique in terms of a pine flavor and bitterness that remind you of more of a west-coast style. Overall, this beer is NEIPA all-the-way except it incorporates a pine bitterness into it while maintaining the creamy and airy NEIPA feel. Definitely a unique and well-appreciated collaboration from these two breweries. One of the most dynamic IPAs to date.

Canned 5/8/19; drank 5/15/19 @ the Yarchives.
Opaque dull yellow/orange appearance.
A violent pour yielded a huge white head; strong, frothy tree-rung lace.
Lemon, dry oats & mild cane sugar notes in the nose.
Medium mouthfeel.
Lemon & orange citrus flavors up front; mild cane sugar & faint dry oat notes on the finish.
A nice, balanced take on the NE IPA style. Not amazing, but worth a quaff.

This is a gorgeous looking NEIPA! Hazy and orange juicy looking with head that stays. The smell is hoppy and it reflects in the taste with just a bit of hop bite that is really enjoyable. The super sweet milkshake IPAs can be too sweet and wear on me while I could drink 2 of these in a bar in no time. It's so soft and pillowy too. This might be my favorite Pipeworks now or maybe just behind the new hazy Ninja Unicorn. I'm glad I picked it up at the Dojo and would buy it again
