I didn’t get much barrel in this one and somehow I actually found it a little bitter for a BBA stout.

Big rich imperial oatmeal stout with nutty characteristics but not a real distinguishable pistachio impression. Boozy and rich. Alcohol is not hidden. Kind of overrides the flavors of whatever nuts are here. Some nuttiness seems to want to present itself but the alcohol notes are too much for it.
A bit of milk chocolate does emerge.....full bodied....lower carbonation....
Overall this is ok but I was expected much more of a pistachio flavor and aroma. Not bad but not the great beer I was hoping for as I love everything pistachio.

Jet black body with a creamy tan head. Smell stars the right aromas: nutty and sweet pistachio, vanilla, and milk chocolate, simple but very pleasant. Taste takes it to the next level, super creamy vanilla and sweet and rich chocolate set the stage for the pistachio in all its glory to star and compliment. Super creamy, somewhat thick, slightly roasty to balance with the sweetness, and malty. Best in the ice cream jones dog series so far
