More summery than a block party, this hazy IPA gets an added bounce of brightness from tangerines. It's citrusy and definitely sunny! Hopped with Mandarina Bavaria, Citra, and Mosaic hops, this is a great one for those who like their juice but want their beer too.

Canned 5/26/22 (2 months ago)
Appearance: Pours a mostly hazy (15% clarity) medium orange color with a mild white head. SRM of 7. (3.75)
Aroma: Strong and juicy aromas orange, tangerine. There's a definite trangerin and orange note. Then a slight peach component. Mostly orange citrus,/tangerine with the hints of tropical and peach citronella. (4.00)
Flavor: Strong and juicy flavors of orange and tangerine. Some blood orange. Strong and juicy with some astringency in the middle. Then finishes with tropical peach, blood orange, and predominantly a juicy tangerine flavor. (3.74)
Feel: Medium-bodied. Lower carbonation. A mouthfeel that feels like juice rather than beer. Somewhat tart. (3.50)
Compared to Toppling Goliath Radiant Haze 7/27/22: Pours a clearer, darker color. Milder head. More juicy tangerine aromas and flavors. Less citrus flower, pineapple, and herbs.
Compared to Revolution DDH Brunch Hero 9/24/22: Pours a lighter, hazier color. Milder aromas. More tart peach and tangerine. Less juicy blood orange, OJ, Mimosa. Milder flavors and more tart.
Overall: A juicy and sweet fruit-forward IPA. The orange and tangerine is detectable. The problems I have with fruit IPAs is that they taste too much like juice and less like beer. Everything is good here, but the mouthfeel leans more like juice, meaning less carbonation. Just the right flavor, but I think the mouthfeel takes a hit when you add juice to beer. (Rating: 3.74)

Do you know when the last rating on a beer is from almost 10 months ago, you’re drinking an old one. It is from June 4 of 2020, but I still had one left. It’s not bad even at this stage. Has a really nice cloudy juice like appearance. Scents of tangerine, orange, hops, and that familiar Pipeworks recipe. Nice blend of bitter hops and citrusy tangerine and orange. Mouth filling, mouth watering finish, boozy. For a year old IPA with adjunct fruit flavor, it had some nice legs.

Wonderful predominately orange citrus aroma, one of the best smelling beers I've had. Initial taste (first few swallows) has a non-hop bitterness I assume from the tangerine rind. Wonderful balance of tangerine, hops, and malt give this a great mouth feel for a 7% ABV Beer. Wonderfully done.

This tastes like Velocity Of Light with a ton of tangerine zest added. Tons of lingering bitterness from the rind sits on the pallet which might be off putting to some-however the core beer is so well made, it’s worth it

From a tall aluminum can, this brew is extremely hazy...cloudy...it looks like a milky white ale. Slim white head. The aroma is full-on hops. Lots of fruit and pine and resin and sharpness. The flavor is appropriately bitter. There is a soft, semi-sweet taste in the mid-tongue, although the bitterness overshadows it. Juicy and engaging. I liked this one.
